Hey, Anglers!

On this special day Fishing Planet celebrates its anniversary. Exactly 7 years ago today we launched the Fishing Planet game on Steam. We wanted our game to be available to you anywhere and over the years we released it on PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android.

We desired the game to give you the best hardware-can-provide experience and atmosphere for fishing, so we polished and tuned our physics, graphics and simulated complex fishing mechanics. We carefully breed our fish, so you can find it exactly where it should be.

Released with just US lakes and rivers, we dreamed to become the true planet of fishing and now you can choose between 25 unique destinations from all around the world - in North America, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. We still have a lot to add and improve, so you can account that our common passion for fishing will lead us much further!

Last year we presented you two new destinations - Congo River in Africa and Selenge River in Mongolia. Besides new fishing locations, you got new trophy collecting missions and a bunch of South America monster missions and Twitch Drops.

Finally, this year we released a mobile version of Fishing Planet on both iOS and Android, which will help you to explore all the hidden fishing places of our fishing world at any time you want and anywhere you want.

During next year we are preparing for you more exciting things, such as new waterways, special events, new tackles and… Saltwater fishing! Yes, it is coming, so stay tuned.

And last but not least we want to say how proud we are of our amazing community of over 17 million players from all the parts of the Globe. We’re humbled that you’ve been part of our Planet for 7 wonderful years. Thank you for inspiring and encouraging us to keep improving our game and implementing more and more of interesting features!

There goes the 2nd Qualifying Round of Fishing Planet Anniversary Cup! Held in Michigan, on the breathtaking banks of Lake Saint-Croix, this exciting fishing battle is now over and we’re happy to announce the 20 anglers who’ll be making it to the Semifinal Round of this tournament!

Keep in mind, it was only the 1st Qualifier of three to get through to the FPAC Semifinal Round! This is one hot summer we are having, eh, folks? Well, maybe not so much in terms of the weather, as in fishing tournaments! Of course, August brings you yet another thrilling competitive event that is double special for us! Wanna know why? Well, we’re talking about Fishing Planet Anniversary Cup - a dear-to-our-heart Sportfishing Tournament that we’re hosting to celebrate our yearly anniversary of coming out on Steam! FPAC tournament is all about catching Salmon in various beautiful destinations like White Moose Lake, San Joaquin Delta and Lake Saint-Croix! Making your way from the Qualifiers to the Semifinal, you’ll have to prove your Salmon catching skills to take part in the unforgettable Grand Finale in Mongolia, on the mesmerizing Selenge River and become the Salmon fishing Champion! 

Join us in this symbolic Fishing Planet birthday celebration by Enter the Fishing Planet Anniversary Cup, passing the Qualifiers, getting to the Final Round and competing against the very best to ultimately become the Salmon fishing Champion!

First-place winner and the two honorable runner-ups will get valuable prizes in addition to the well-known tournaments prizes!

• 1st place will get set* of x-series lures and 360 days Premium;

• 08th of August - Registration for the FPAC Tournament begins.
  
• 09th of August - Qualifier 1 on the snowy White Moose Lake in Alberta, Canada.
  
• 10th of August - Qualifier 2 on Lake Saint-Croix in Michigan. 
  
• 11th of August - Qualifier 3 on San Joaquin Delta in sunny California.
  
• 13th of August - Semifinal Round on the mesmerizing Kaniq Creek in Alaska. 
  
• 14th of August - the Grand Finale on Mongolia, Selenge River
