Mighty Carp Tour: Qualifier 1 Results


Well, what we just witnessed was a magnificent fishing battle in the1st Qualifying Round of Mighty Carp Tour that was held on the picturesque Tiber River in Italy. It was our brave competitors' 1st chance out of 3 to get through to the Semifinal by making it to the Top-20 most skilled Carp anglers! And some of you succeeded. Here below we give you the list of those who will head straight to the vast open spaces of Lake Sander Baggersee in Germany and compete against the 60 best Carp anglers in the Semifinal Round on September 16th. If you don’t see your name - don’t panic just yet There’s still another chance in tomorrow’s 2nd Qualifier, held in the sunny state of California, on the beautiful San Joaquin Delta.

Mighty Carp Tour Announcement
Behold the mighty Carp! And welcome the opening Tournament of the fall season - this September’s bottom fishing excitement of Mighty Carp Tour! Although somewhat undervalued in North America, this all-time European favorite game fish is quite a fun challenge to catch. That’s why we’re eager to bring this competitive Carp fishing experience your way and see you work that angling magic on the hardest freshwater fish to fool into biting! Those of you who embark on this competitive fishing journey are in for an unforgettable trip through some of the world's most amazing fishing destinations - from the Italian charm of the Tiber River, the sunny magnificence of San Joaquin Delta in USA and hardcore reality of the Germany Lake in the first three Qualifiers, to the vast openness of Sander Baggersee Lake for the Semifinal Round and finally, the enigmatic Weeping Willow Lakes fishery in Great Britain, where the ultimate Top-20 Carp catchers will have the chance to fight in the Grand Finale for the title of Mighty Carp Master!

Mighty Carp Tour will be held September 12th through September 17th, with the Registration starting on September 11th, 24 hours prior to the First Qualifier.

The Tournament’s timetable is as follows:
  • 11th of September - Registration for the Tournament begins.
  • 12th of September - Qualifier 1 on the Tiber River in Italy.
  • 13th of September - Qualifier 2 on San Joaquin Delta in California, USA.
  • 14th of September - Qualifier 3 on Sander Baggersee Lake in Germany.
  • 16th of September - Semifinal Round on Sander Baggersee Lake in Germany.
  • 17th of September - the Grand Finale on the Weeping Willow Lakes fisheries in the UK.

Patch Note 4.5.4: Animation

Animation improvements:

  • Twitching animations for casting and spinning tackle have been refined.

Patch Note 4.5.3: Clubs, New Fishing Mechanic, and Animation

Hey, fellow anglers!

We want to say thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We've listened to your feedback and made some improvements, so here is the second patch on Clubs, the New Fishfight and Animation. We really appreciate your ideas and suggestions, and we're going to work on gradually incorporating them into the game after thorough testing. Your input has been crucial in making Fishing Planet better for everyone!

Clubs:
  • Fixed incorrect appearance of some flags when creating Clubs or choosing the location of club origin;
  • Added additional information into the Club description about the minimal level required for Club creation or joining an existing one;
  • Fixed the incorrect display of the Club name with the maximum symbols;
  • Displaying of the club logo in the Player Info tab fixed.


New Fishing Mechanic and Animation improvements:
  • Fixed the issue with the twitchy animation while using the pulling-up mechanic;
  • Twitching animation improvements: polishing the forearm and wrist animation and making rod behavior more flexible. Increasing the range of rod movements when reeling in objects or fish of varying weights. (spinning rod animations. Stay tuned for casting rod animations).
  • Improved sleeve and arm animation for widescreens;
  • Improved spinning animation after the fish comes off the leash;
  • Minor twitching animation polishing;
  • Added visual effects for horizontal tackle load indicator;
  • Increased Landing net movement speed.


Miscellaneous:
  • Grammatical and translation improvements;
  • Rod stand improvements: fixed incorrect alarm behavior.

Patch Note 4.5.2: Clubs, New Fishing Mechanic, and Animation


Hey, anglers!
Thank you all for the feedback! We appreciate it a lot, and will keep doing our best in implementing your ideas and suggestions. It was necessary for us to hear it and take it into account. As you all mentioned a lot about the landing net issues and breakage of the reel while catching big fish, we are implementing your feedback with this Patch, including some improvements.
Clubs:
  • Added possibility to create Clubs with longer Names and more symbols in it;
  • Localization fixes. Changed the word "Country" to "Location", since the list of club "Countries" includes not only countries but also regions;
New Fishing Mechanic:
  • Reel breakage system adjustments. Increased time for the breakage and durability level of the reel during overload;
  • Please note that broken reels, obtained from the fishing packs, can be repaired!
  • Slight adjustments for the Landing Net system. Reduced period of handing fish out of the water to avoid the use of the Landing Net;
  • Landing Net will be disabled by default, for the new players. You can turn it on/off(for those who had it already in use) in the in-game settings;
  • Turned off the obligatory usage of Landing Net in competitions;
  • Fixed issue with alarms on the rod stands. In certain situations, the rod stand might not provide an audible signal, and the fish gets away due to the lack of hookset;
  • Fixed an issue with catching the fish before it get’s tired and improper catch;
  • Fixed the exploit of getting huge fish with low-level setups.
Animation improvements:
  • Fixed issues with incorrect 3D appearance for X-Series UltraCast 210 rod;
  • Fixed incorrect line behavior when catching underwater items;
  • Twitching animation improvements, including polishing the avatar of the player and adding more flexibility to it;
  • [UPD]Spinning Rods Twitch Animations Adjustment.
