687 Days on Mars News

Here we go again, to talk about the changes coming to your new home... Mars! 🌌

We are preparing to set you out on 687 Days on Mars Demo, and it's getting closer and closer by the minute. Plenty of new things are coming which will be available for you to play in the near future! 🔥

So here are the changes!

[h3]☀️ Solar Panels:[/h3]

• You can connect to solar panels via tablet.
  
• Solar panels now have efficiency.
  
• Solar panels can get dirty which decreases their efficiency so you will have to take proper care of your equipment. You don't want your oxygen generator to suddenly loose power, do you?
  

[h3]Plants and Food 🥦:[/h3]

• Now you can harvest vegetables, you may not be on Earth anymore but nothing can stop you from eating potatoes!
  
• Add sweet potatoes and peppers for you to grow!
  
• Added a fridge where you can store vegetables.
  
• Added a food machine that can prepare meals for you, you may not have much, but you don't need to eat nutrition paste.

[h3]Options and graphic update: We really want you to see Mars to it's fullest potential! 👀[/h3]

• Added Global illumination setting.
  
• Added DLSS setting.
  
• Added Fog setting.
  
• Added UI Scale setting.
  
• Added Monitor swap setting.

[h3]Others:[/h3]

• Added outside lamp building, so you can make your night walks outside your base a bit more comfortable.
  
• Added energy cables splitter/connector.
  
• Materials are recovered after the building is destroyed, so if you made a mistake, no worries!

[h3]Fixes made since the Playtest:[/h3]

• Plants disappear after destroying the planter.
  
• Connecting fertilizer barrel into the planter blueprint is no longer possible.
  
• Crouching and sprinting during jumps is no longer possible.
  
• Day length increased.
  
• Flashlight and car light power increased.
  
• Changing movement controls now affects the car.
  
• Change Default USE button "F"->"E", changed default flashlight button "T->F".
  
• The battery and oxygen tank now face the correct way when placed on the shelf.
  
• Added unstuck option for vehicle.

Your quest of survival will lead you to unravel all the different mysteries, secrets that may be on this inhospitable planet that will be your home for the time being.
