[Stories] The latest information about the Arenas

The report of Seeker Grigio with the latest information about the Arenas.

Access level: high.
Rumours:
Recently, there have been rumors circulating in the Valley that the Firestarters are preparing to open a network of “gladiatorial” arenas. A certain arbiter Petrolium is involved in this. He is described as a fanatical and greedy person who, nevertheless, pays well for quality work. A psychopath who can accomplish a lot. They say that the shamans hired him on a tip from the Rat King.

Several survivors reported about meetings with recruiters, who invited them to participate in future battles. It was not possible to determine the terms of cooperation.

At the moment we know about the existence of two arenas. One of them is located in the lowlands north of the Bridge, which runs from the Abandoned town. The Lunatics fenced the area off with mines and set up observation towers. The second one is located in the ruins of an old structure that has architectural similarities to the objects on the “Ravagers foothold”. In addition, it is reported that the arbiter’s people have occupied an abandoned stadium on the outskirts of the Old Town long time ago. It was not possible to get inside, but sounds of gunfire and explosions are occasionally heard from the building. There is a suggestion that this place serves as a training complex.
Facts:
Our agents among the Lunatics report that Firestarters have ordered the serial production of various armoured vehicles in garages throughout the Valley. The shamans probably want to involve their people in battles, but the motivation for this is unclear. Many of the workshops use prisoner labor force, and of the prisoners became our informant after escaping from one of such facilities. Some time ago, he was a member of the Engineers. He refused to disclose his name, but in exchange for shelter he recreated the blueprints of the four armoured cars he had worked on.

The first one is called “Cannoneer”. As one can guess, this vehicle is equipped with two “Little Boy 6LB” cannons. The armored vehicle is built using the “Bear” cabin, while tracks are used as movement parts. The engineer claims that “Cannoneer” is very resilient and is perfect for medium and long range combat.

The second armoured car — “Junkbow” is created for close-range combat and is based on the “Growl” cabin. It is equipped with 2 “Junkbow” shotguns and with a reload booster module. A radar detector is installed allowing for better control of the enemy. According to the engineer, this vehicle is very maneuverable and resilient because of additional wheels and durable armour.

“Infiltrator” is another armoured car with four shotguns and the “Growl” cabin. However, in this case the engineers were ordered to mount “Sledgehammers”, as well as to add enhanced engine and radiator. Because of this, the car turned out to be very fast, maneuverable and incredibly dangerous in close range combat.

The last armored one, “Gunner”, is equipped with two autocannons “AP64 Joule” and the “Bear” cabin. It has an engine that increases the vehicle’s speed, and a radiator that provides a long continuous fire. According to the engineer’s estimates, “Gunner” was designed for medium and close range combat.
Note:
The informant claims that he can arrange a meeting with three more escaped prisoners. All of them worked on different blueprints, the total number of which is about 15 units. With their statements we could get a more detailed picture of the situation. I ask the Supreme Explorer D. for confirmation to grant shelter to these people.

[Developer blog] New major Crossout update. Part 4

There is not much time left before the update with the new season and the “Arena” is released. Let’s find out what other new features we can expect!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
Legendary cabin
A new legendary medium cabin of the Dawn’s Children, which perfectly combines good speed and good tonnage, mass limit and durability. All of the above will be a pleasant bonus to its truly unique perk.

By default, the cabin’s unique perk reduces the reloading of all mounted weapons by 15%. “A cabin with a built-in recharge booster,” — you will say. But there is more!

In addition, after reducing the reloading time by 15%, the cabin’s perk also averages the reloading time of all weapons mounted on the vehicle. This means that if you simultaneously mount a weapon with a long reload and a weapon with a fast reload on this cabin, then the reloading time of both weapons will be adjusted to the average value between them.

This can be extremely convenient if, for example, you have two identical weapons, but only one of them has a reload upgrade. Or if you need to use two different weapons with different reload times at the same time.

Of course, due to the limitation, it will not be possible to reduce the reload time too much. As a result, the bonus from the cabin will boost the reloading process by about 2 times, but not more. Considering the number of various weapons and modules that already exist in the game, you will definitely find efficient combinations that will change the established order on the battlefield!
CK for the “Humpback” cabin

CK for the “Quantum” cabin
And finally, we invite you to check out the second new portrait, which will be waiting for you in the new pass.

That’s all for today! In case there will be any balance tweaks or other important changes planned for this update we’ll be sure to inform you about it via our news. In the meantime — stay tuned for the new season and our traditional livestreams before its start!
