[Mass testing] Torque. Updated version

Hello!

We have reviewed your feedback after recent testing of the torque mechanics, checked and addressed a number of important points. We are ready to give you a chance to test the updated version of the changes.

We remind you that all the new features described in this news are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.

[h2]What has been changed? (im comparison with the 1st testing)[/h2]

First of all, we changed the power parameters of the cabins. This corrected the excessively fast acceleration of heavy cabins and builds based on them. On the other hand, it slightly increased the dynamics of vehicles with lightweight cabins.
Wheel grip with different surfaces has been improved. The main results of this change are:
- A slight increase of drifting during turning, which all the fans of spectacular driving asked us to do.
- A general decrease in the feeling of driving “on the rails”, which is not typical for vehicles with wheels.
Increased maximum hover speed. Now these chassis will get more advantages when used in conjunction with lightweight cabins.

We invite everyone to evaluate the changes on the test server today. Don’t forget to share your thoughts and impressions with us in a special thread after the testing!

[h2]How to get to the test server?[/h2]

If you have already participated in testing on a special server, then it will be enough to start the Launcher from the folder with the test client and wait for the update to complete.

Create a new folder for the game on your hard drive.
Download the Launcher from this link. The file name should not contain numbers indicating that the file is a duplicate. Please note that you should launch the file that does not contain any digits (1), (2), etc. in its name. If, when starting the installed launcher, you get to the live game servers, you need to delete all downloaded launchers from the download folder and try again.
Start the Launcher and install the game to the folder you created (for example: D:\Public test\Crossout).
After the installation is complete, start the Launcher and enter the game with your username and password.
The whole progress of your main account will be transferred to the main server (including parts in storage and levels of reputation in factions).
After logging into the server, to transfer progress from your account, press the “Esc” key and select “Copy account data”.
Please note the schedule of the test server:
- Friday, May 21, 2021: from 13:00 to 19:00 (GMT time)
- Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 13:00 to 19:00 (GMT time)
- Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 13:00 to 19:00 (GMT time)
Any progress you make on the test server will not be transferred to the live game servers (INCLUDING ATTEMPTS TO BUY PACKS).

After testing the changes, we invite you to leave your constructive feedback on the planned rework in THIS THREAD (it will open a bit later after the launch of the test server).

You can report all issues found on the test server here.

The public test server is intended only for testing of the upcoming update, and may not accommodate all players without exception. However, absolutely anyone can join the server, as long as there are free spots.

What is it?

[Announcement] “Raven’s path” event is already here!

Greetings, survivors!

We are happy to announce that Stevo and his Ravens are back to the Valley! Without further ado, let’s see what awaits us in this event!

The event will include the exclusive parts already familiar to many survivors and other items available for production only during the event. The survivors will be able to craft:

Crossbow “Toadfish”
Shotguns “Leech” and “Arothron”
Revolver “Corvo”
Defence module “Argus”
Coupling module “Contact 2M”
Detonation module “Rift 2M”
Decor “Martin’s helmet”
Paints “Teutonic Eagle”, “Damascus Steel” and “Fleur-de-lis”.

And now let’s move on to the second part. As part of this event, you will be able to craft already fused parts, and the bonuses of these parts will be known to you in advance. Yes, exactly as it was on the New Year’s workbench “Lost and found explosives”!

Please note that not all parts are included in the event. To upgrade a part with predetermined bonuses, it is necessary to do it on a special “Raven Pavilion” workbench.

[h2]Crafting parts[/h2]

To craft both fused and exclusive parts, you will need resources, certain parts and talers - a special currency used by the Ravens. Talers can be obtained in two ways:

Earned in the special PvP mission “Raven’s path”.
Coupons can be exchanged for talers on the “Raven Pavilion” workbench.

After the end of the “Raven’s Path” event, all unused talers will be withdrawn from the option to exchange them for any other resources.

The “Raven’s Path” event will last until June 7, inclusive. We remind you that you can get acquainted with all the current offers in the game on a special workbench “Raven Pavilion”.

Survivors!

Once Scar AB found an old magazine with images of cars that existed before the events of Crossout, and now he wants to assemble a collection of such cars. Many cars in this world are gone, and so survivors are invited to assemble a car similar to the one depicted in the photo.

The 3 best entries will be selected in two groups, and their authors will receive a reward of 300 coins and an epic "Amusement container" in the first group, and 100 coins and an epic "Amusement container" in the second one!

[Stories] Guiding star: Invisible doesn’t always mean “imaginary” (part 2)

— So, only the dead don’t know about their arrival yet? — Ivy XO asked, not raising her head from under the hood of the armoured car. — It wasn’t the best option for them to be so noisy, considering what they’re looking for. Right, Foxy?

Toward the end of the sentence, Ivy finally stopped digging into the details, and, carefully wiping her hands with an oily rag, looked kindly at Foxy. She was standing near the table with tools, picking over the parts in her hands.

— Maybe they wanted to do all their work quickly, taking the Valley by surprise… — Foxy suggested, feeling someone else’s eyes on herself.

— You’re always making excuses for everyone. On the other hand, it’s good that you keep the situation under control. These are not the best times.

Ivy slammed the hood and skilfully jumped into the cabin. The armoured car began to make coughing sounds, apparently in an attempt to start. Foxy put the parts on the table and came closer to the cabin so Ivy could hear her. One of the gears suddenly rolled over the workbench and just as unexpectedly stopped at the edge.

— It’s not an excuse, it’s a tactical calculation! The Syndicate grows stronger every day. Their technology can be compared to the capabilities of Dawn’s Children and even surpass them. And Lloyd, it seems, has something to confront the Syndicate. Recently, the Dragons began recruiting survivors to prepare for war with him. They talk about it even in the “Keyhole”. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that it’s better not to do business with strangers, especially if they don’t even explain what needs to be done.

The car never stopped “coughing”. Ivy slipped out of the cabin and approached the hood, cursing.

— It seems that everything is really very serious, — said the leader of Engineers, as she looked inside the armoured vehicle again while taking the walkie-talkie out of her pocket. — I need a man to fix the engine of the “Arrow”. He doesn’t have such an ally anymore.

The radio in Ivy Go’s pocket hissed, but after listening for a few seconds, she interrupted the speaker and ordered him to come back later.

— Your words make a lot of sense. I know you understand that, but let me remind you once again: the Syndicate is not our friends or even allies. Their goal may be not to destroy Lloyd and the technology of the Ravagers, but to capture them and then use them not in our favor. You will find out what their intentions are and you will find that psycho. But please, Foxy, be careful.

Ivy approached her companion and looked into her eyes, and then hugged her tightly, taking the young woman by surprise.

— I demand regular reports on the progress of your investigation. I hope we can use the technology, but if that’s not the case, it will have to be destroyed.

Suddenly there was a knock on the hangar door and the squeak of poorly oiled hinges was heard. Ivy immediately sat down in her seat and again threw her legs on the table, taking the first blueprint she caught in her hands.

— I told you to come back later!

— We should get going,— Foxy said as she got up. Finally, she dropped her gaze to the floor next to the chair where she had previously stroked the air. — Bunny, let’s go.
