Hello Ultimate Animals!

We've told you previously that we were working on a new update for Ultimate Chicken Horse, and the good news is that it's almost here!

You'll have to wait just a little bit more for the trailer and the release date announcement, but in the meantime, we wanted to tell you what you can expect in very broad terms:







That's right: We'll be adding a new character, two levels, and four blocks to the game!
As usual, this will be a free content update.

Hello Ultimate Animals!

February is here, which means that we’re getting ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
We would like your help with that!

We want to feature 15 thematically appropriate levels in Ultimate Chicken Horse on February 14th, and we want them to be YOUR levels. Some ideas of what we’re looking for:
- Love! Hearts!
- Flowers and chocolates!
- Co-operation!

For a chance to be featured in the game on Valentine’s Day, share your level codes in the comments before Friday February 14th at 12:00PM Eastern Time.

(As a reminder: You can make custom levels in Free Play mode. Then open the Menu, go to Save and Share Level, save your level Online as a Public level, and Publish to get the shareable level code!)

Hello Ultimate Animals!

Did you see that you can nominate games for the Steam Awards during the Autumn Sale?
Most awards are reserved for games that came out in the past year, but there's one important exception: the Labor of Love Award.

Here's the description:
"This game has been out for a while. The team is well past the first unveiling of their creative baby, but being the good parents they are, these devs continue to nurture and support their creation. This game, to this day, is still getting new content after all these years."

As we're working on another free content update for Ultimate Chicken Horse which should come out in early 2020 - just before the game's 4th anniversary (!) - we're hoping that maybe you all feel like the game might deserve a nomination for the Labor of Love Award!

The award description also rings especially familiar to us right now, considering that two of our six team members have each become literal parents to literal babies in the past 5 months. This is kind of a huge change to our pacing at work, and at the same time we're trying to mature as a studio, and just do what's best for our little work family.

It's quite the adventure, and we're super thankful to have a wonderful community to support us in this transitional period.

And we'd love for the community to keep growing!
So please tell your friends and family that Ultimate Chicken Horse is 34% off during the Steam Autumn Sale. ;)

Hey Ultimate Animals!

We don't know if you've heard, but Steam has rolled out a Beta feature that allows you to play your favorite local multiplayer games... online! What this means is that you can easily connect with your Steam friends to play games as if they were sitting right next to you. And this feature works with Ultimate Chicken Horse!

What's the difference with regular online play in Ultimate Chicken Horse?
Mainly it's this: You only need one copy of the game to play with up to three of your online friends.

The Beta feature arrived on October 21st, but since late last week it was made available to every Steam user, so it's easier for everyone to access it.

If you have been meaning to introduce your online friends to the game, now is the best time to do so, because they can try it before they buy it!
