Hi everyone, there's an issue with crossplay between PC and consoles! However, there is a temporary solution, so please read below!

We just released a new update on Steam/PC to fix various server issues, including a serious connection bug for players in Korea. Crossplay was impacted because our console platforms have not yet received the same update, creating a game version mismatch. Thankfully, there's a solution if you really want to play together with your console pals!

[h2]Temporary solution for crossplay between PC and consoles[/h2]
If you're a PC player and want to play with your console friends, you just need to switch to our Steam beta branch for Ultimate Chicken Horse.

To do this, right-click Ultimate Chicken Horse in the Steam Library. Go to properties, open the "Betas" tab, and select the "crossplay-1.10.05 - Old build with console crossplay" version from the dropdown menu. Restart your Steam if the game doesn't update automatically.
Just remember to switch back to "None" in the Betas tab if you want to play with people on the newest build of the game.



Note that this WILL NOT WORK if you are in Korea - this is due to server problem that's been affecting this entire region, and only the newest build fixes it.

If you're experiencing problems with getting crossplay to work with this solution, please just join the Ultimate Chicken Horse Discord, and the moderators will help you out there.

We're holding a custom level event for Earth Day in Ultimate Chicken Horse! We're asking you to make challenge/party levels inspired by Earth, nature, the four elements, space, or anything else you love about our planet! 🌱🌿🍃

We'll pick 15 of our favourite custom levels to feature in Ultimate Chicken Horse to celebrate Earth Day!

You can submit your levels by publishing them and sharing the level codes in the Steam comments or on the Ultimate Chicken Horse Discord by April 21 at 11:59 PM PST.



[h3]Inspiration for your levels[/h3]

• The four elements: fire, water, earth, air
  
• Nature: Animals, plants and flowers, water, the colour green
  
• Environments: Jungles, deserts, swamps, forests, mountains
  
• Space: The sun, stars, the moon, other planets!

[h3]How do I make a custom level? [/h3]

• While in-game, open the menu and select “Free Play Mode”. Then go down the well to the underground area. On the left, jump on the “Blank Level” to start building!
  
• Share your level by opening the menu and pressing “Save and Share Level”. Save your level as Online, Party or Challenge, and Public, then press “Publish” to get your level code.
  
• Post the level code on Steam or on Discord!

Wow, Ultimate Chicken Horse is turning seven years old and we’re celebrating with a FREE content update for you! Play as the new character Turtle in the Shellebration Update! It's out NOW on all supported platforms, so you can play with your console pals via crossplay!

The Shellebration Update adds:

• New character: Turtle

Meet Turtle, the newest animal on the Ultimate Chicken Horse roster, voiced by our previous community manager, Syd!

Always ready to dive head-first into the next adventure, this plucky reptile never backs down from a challenge. Turtle’s no slowpoke when it comes to winning and won’t hesitate to slide straight into first place!

[h2]Alternative Skin: Armadillo[/h2]
Look out, Turtle’s alternative skin just rolled in - it’s Armadillo! Don’t be intimidated by the tough exterior - Armadillo is a huge softie with a big heart.


[h2]New Outfits[/h2]
Turtle and Armadillo share a wonderful wardrobe designed by our very own Ultimate Chicken Horse community! Mix and match these accessories for the perfect fit.

• Helmet: It’s like a shell for your head!
  
• Pirate Costume: Yer lookin’ as sharp as a cutlass, me hearty!
  
• Ninja Gear: Only worn by true warriors of the night. (It glows in the dark.)

[h2]New Level: Metro[/h2]
Don’t miss your train! Navigate the underground metro by sprinting across the roofs of train cars as they thunder by. Place building blocks and traps to fill the gaps between the station platforms, or risk falling into the deadly electrified rails! Make it to the opposite platform without being flattened to win!

The Metro level features several historic train stations straight from our studio’s home: Montreal, Canada.
