Update 0.4.8 is here!

Hi Mechanics!

We are excited to finally drop this update!
This update will lay out some of the groundwork for the upcoming new survival chapter that we are working on right now. In this update we did a ton of bug fixes and improvements. We also added a few new fun things to survival mode like the Beacon and the Logbook! We know this is not a huge update. But rest assured that a big survival update is in the works with a lot of new content and it’s shaping up to become something amazing!

Beacon
Beacon is a very useful new interactive part that will help you set navigation waypoints in the world. This will make exploration much easier. It can now be crafted in the Craftbot!

Logbook
The Logbook can now be unlocked in the crashed ship.
It will store all quests that the mechanics will find in the world. It also lets mechanics manage all active Beacons in the world. The logbook will be very important in the next chapter where quests will be introduced.

Oil in Desert Biome
We heard you! A lot of Mechanics wanted to pump oil from the ground. That is now possible if you can find a desert biome with an oil pool. You will not need to start a new world. Good luck on your adventure!

Patch 0.4.8 Test! (Updated November 11)

Hi Mechanics!

This test turned in to a pretty long one as you might have noticed. We ended up doing a lot of small fixes. But also because we wanted to add a few more things for testing before we drop it.
Today the 30th of October we finally added the new Beacon interactive part that we’ve been teasing on our Twitter. The Beacon will help you set navigation waypoints in the world to make exploration much easier. It can now be crafted in the Craftbot! Some other highlights are fixes to the UI and main menu that we didn’t find time to add for the survival release. There is still more work to be done to the UI but we are getting there. Thanks for all the amazing feedback! Here are some of the new things in this update. Cotton plants can now be planted on your farm. You can trade for Cotton seeds at the Farmer hideout. We decided to add these seeds since some players had a hard time finding cotton in their generated world. We will do the same with pigment flowers in the future. We’ve also added the Chemical container to the Craftbot. It’s not very useful at the moment, but we have things in the works where it will have an important function. Lastly, we also did a lot of balancing tweaks based on the community feedback!
