A bug has been fixed that made players who played a different game mode after playing Point Blank mode without shutting down the game experience lowered attack power.

ゲームをシャットダウンせずに引き続き他のモードでゲームをプレイした場合、
プレイヤの攻撃力が低下する不具合を修正。

A bug was fixed that was causing players playing the new Point Blank speedrun mode in fullscreen mode to experience Gunvolt's colors changing from red (the correct color for this mode) back to his normal colors when returning to the game after pressing the Alt+Tab keys to minimize the window.

フルスクリーンモードで「スピードラン：ゼロレンジ」をプレイ時、
Alt+Tabキー等で他のウインドウに切り替え、その後再度ゲーム画面に戻した際に、
プレイヤカラーが「ゼロレンジ」用の赤色から、通常色に戻ってしまう不具合を修正。

It's been quite the busy month here at Inti Creates, what with the big announcements of Gal*Gun: Double Peace being confirmed for North America and Europe in 2016 and Inti Creates sound team going to MAGFest! But we're not done with the announcements yet! For our 5th monthly update to the Steam version of Azure Striker Gunvolt, a shiny new Speedrun Mode takes the stage: Point Blank.



Now, you may be saying "Hang on a sec, his lightning looks pretty different...and is GV red?!" The answer to both is an emphatic "yes"!

In addition to Gunvolt getting a new color palette for this mode, a core gameplay mechanic has been altered to create a completely new method of attack that will challenge the most tried and true speedrun tactics. The premise behind Point Blank is as follows:

1. The further away you are from your targets, the less damage you will do. The thin bolts of electricity that you see in the above screenshot deal much less damage than the standard Flashfield does.



2.  On the other hand, the closer you are to your targets, the damage caused by your electrical attacks is greatly increased, dealing much more damage than a standard Flashfield strike.  You know you're close enough when you summon those giant lightning bolts that you see in the above screenshot.

Positioning will be more important than ever in this speedrun mode, as you discover the pros and cons of using much weaker attacks from a safe distance and much stronger attacks from a dangerous point blank range. How will these new chances affect your best times? That remains to be seen!

We hope that you had a festive time with the Christmas Mode that we added in the last update, and that you are enjoying the 50% sale going on right now in the Steam Holiday Sale . But now that Christmas is essentially over, Christmas Mode will go into hibernation, and an electrifying new Speed Run mode will make its debut. Introducing Speed Run Mode: Perma-Anthem!



That's right! In this new Speedrun Mode, Lumen has your back right from the beginning, and Anthem is just as powerful as you remember! Unlimited EP, unlimited air dashes and air jumps...why, you're a electricity shootin' powerhouse! This amazing power-up stays with you throughout the entire run, so you can use these incredible powers to their fullest!

Now, you're probably saying "Dude, there has to be a catch..."

You're right. There is!



Hey wait a sec, those spikes weren't there before! That's because in Perma-Anthem mode, in order to tip the scales of power back in their direction a bit, Sumeragi lined the floors and ceilings of their treacherous stages with razor-sharp spikes! Unfortunately for Gunvolt, these spikes have more of an "old-school" feel to them, and even in his high powered, Anthem rockin' state, these babies are a 1-hit kill! All other settings for this mode are the same as in the Standard Speedrun Mode.

* A bug that allowed players to clear Christmas Mode without defeating all the bosses has been fixed.

* As for the matter of the program file (gv_win.exe) being flagged as a virus by antivirus software, there is currently a phenomenon that is spreading around that is causing various antivirus software to designate the game's executable file as a virus.

We run the executable file through Steam's official encryption tools, but before we do that, we run the file through 55 different antivirus software programs to ensure there are absolutely no problems. At some point during the encryption process, data that somehow is getting flagged as a virus was created.

Although multiple antivirus programs are still flagging the gv_win.exe file as a virus, we have confirmed beyond the shadow of a doubt that there is absolutely no virus attached to the gv_win.exe executable file.

現在、ゲーム実行ファイルである gv_win.exe が、ご使用のウイルス判定ソフトによっては、
ウイルスと判定されてしまう現象が発生しております。

gv_win.exe は、Steam公式の暗号化ツールを使用しておりますが、
暗号化前の gv_win.exe について、55種のウィルス判定ソフトで問題無い事を確認しております。
暗号化時にウィルスと判定されるデータ列が生成された様です。

いくつかのウイルス判定ソフトでは依然としてウイルスと判定されてしまいますが、
gv_win.exe にはウイルスは含まれておらず、問題ないことを改めて確認しております。
