The upcoming Layers of Fear remake is set to be the first third-party game to use Unreal Engine 5. Epic's newest game development engine, and its cutting edge features like Lumen and Nanite, drove last year's lauded graphical overhaul of Fortnite. Demo Layers of Fear extended until May 31!

The Layers of Fear Steam demo release was a surprising and powerful blast. The game has received a great deal of interest, and we are grateful for it. That's why we've decided to extend the current demo until May 31, 2023. We want to give everyone more time to experience a taste of the game before the official premiere.

Prepare for chills: Layers of Fear returns with a June 15 release

Bloober Team and co-developer Anshar Studios have announced Layers of Fear will arrive on consoles and PC in June.

To that end, a demo for the horror chronicle is now available on Steam.

The demo will be available until May 22 and offers a glimpse into the unsettling world of The Writer, the game's third and final protagonist. You will explore her story as it serves as a nexus to connect the story threads of the previous installments.

After giving us a release window for horror collection Layers Of Fear, developers Bloober Team have now set a concrete date: June 15th, 2023. The game previously changed its name earlier in the year, dropping the pluralisation of Layers Of Fears. Presumably, it'll still explore more than one fear, though. You can see for yourself as the game released a new demo today, available on Steam until May 22nd.
