Start a new game of Layers of Fear now through 11/30 and you may notice a new drawing in the entryway of the mansion. It begins a story about three children who explore a basement on a dreary day, only to discover a sinister spirit board.

Should you follow the children and brave the depths of the Mansion this Halloween, you'll be able to enter a room that's been locked for a very good reason. In this room lies a spirit board,not unlike the one encountered by Bobby, Sue, and Gale.

If you are feeling particularly brave, you can use the planchette to try your hand at communing with the spirits. Depending on the message you send, you may uncover secrets beyond reason or summon a memory best forgotten.

Unsure of what message to send? Some tell tales of ghoulish apparitions and strange rooms.

Players will find themselves in the body of Marianne, a medium hounded by visions, living and interacting across two worlds: the real, and the spirit world. Nothing is what it seems, everything has another side. As a medium with access to both worlds, you have a wider perspective and can see more clearly that there’s no one simple truth to what others perceive.

“Every one of our games has a central theme that drives its creative and technological design. In The Medium, we focus on perspective and perception. When you change your point of view, you discover that things are more complicated and nuanced than you initially thought" - said Piotr Babieno, CEO at Bloober Team. "The Medium is our most ambitious game ever and we can't wait to show you how we're translating this vision into a psychological horror.”

The legendary composer Akira Yamaoka and Bloober Team’s Arkadiusz Reikowski are working together on the game’s original ‘dual’ score, creating truly unique atmospheres across both worlds.
