FFXIV leveling guide - the quickest way to level up in Final Fantasy 14

What's the fastest way to level up in Final Fantasy 14? One of the best things about Square Enix's epic MMO game is its range of excellent jobs. The character you create can play any and every job released, so it can take some time to get your character up to scratch in multiple areas. You're going to need to engage in a bit of FFXIV power leveling.

With the release of the Shadowbringers expansion, the level cap was raised from 70 to 80 and two new jobs were introduced, Gunbreaker and Dancer. So whether you want to get to level 80 fast or try out a new job, we've got you covered.

Equally, if you are starting the game afresh, our FFXIV leveling guide will help with some basic step-by-step instructions to help you on your way to the endgame in no time. For players looking for a no-strings-attached way to get into FFXIV, the game is currently offering 96 hours of free game time, which will give you a chance to give the fantasy game a good go.

Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.4 gets another live letter November 27 - here's when to tune in

Final Fantasy XIV's big updates are back on track after COVID-19-related delays to patch 5.3, and we're closing in on the launch of the next major release. Another patch 5.4 live letter has been scheduled for later this month, and that more or less confirms that the Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.4 release date is coming very soon.

The next live Letter from the Producer will broadcast on Friday, November 27 at 3:00 PST / 6:00 EST / 11:00 GMT. These broadcasts typically run for about three hours, and are hosted entirely in Japanese. However, the prepared slides that accompany the broadcast are shown in English, so you can get a solid idea of what's coming. (Plus you can get live, unofficial fan translations from the FF14 DIscord.)

Patch 5.4 has already been confirmed for a December release, and major updates typically launch about two weeks after a new live letter. So while it's not yet confirmed, you might want to circle December 8 on your gaming calendar.

Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.4 will bring back auto-demolition to housing estates

A blog post shared by Square Enix today has revealed auto-demolition of estates in Final Fantasy XIV will start up again with the release of Patch 5.4. However, the developer has let fans know auto-demolitions may get suspended again if the need arises. The suspension began back in March to help players out following the "economical effects of various cities going into lockdown" during the outbreak of COVID-19.

The timer placed on auto-demolitions may reset in certain circumstances depending on how you have used your housing during the suspension period, the studio explains in the post. The timer will be reset for free company estates that have been entered at least once during the suspension. However, the timer will resume from the time remaining as of March 26, 2020, at 08:10 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:10 GMT for players that have not entered their estates during the suspension period.

The exact date and time for the release of patch 5.4 has not been revealed yet, but you can expect it to drop sometime in December according to the blog post shared by Square Enix earlier this year. All free company estate owners, their free company members, and private estate owners will receive an email notification regarding demolition.
