Moogle Treasure Trove - The Hunt for Goetia Commences October 15!

Square Enix suspends FF14 housing demolition due to Hurricane Helene

Square Enix has suspended housing demolition in Final Fantasy 14 due to Hurricane Helene. If you're playing on a North American data center and on the cusp of losing your virtual estate, that means it's safe for the time being. The category four major hurricane swept across the Southeastern United States at the end of September, causing untold damage. So, in an effort to alleviate pressure on players in the region, SE is suspending FF14 housing demolition.

Live from the Tokyo Game Show floor, game director Naoki Yoshida and community producer Toshio Murouchi host FF14 Live Letter 83, showing off everything in Final Fantasy 14 patch 7.1. Among the reveals are the Echoes of Vana'diel alliance raid, a dungeon reminiscent of Resident Evil, the grand return of Hildibrand, and that much-touted first 24-player savage fight.

Right now, Final Fantasy 14 is having a major DDoS problem. The server attacks have been happening for years, but over the last few weeks, their frequency has increased massively. We've had multiple attacks, forcing players to disconnect, over the last few days. Square Enix may not have said anything about them recently, but more players are starting to voice their frustration. Hopefully, we'll hear from Yoshida and the team soon.
