FF14 Dawntrail's queue plans spell danger for AFK players

Square Enix has outlined its plans to combat congestion ahead of Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail's official release - we all know that the launch queues are going to be astronomical. The previous expansion, Endwalker, faced lengthy wait times of up to a week after launch, and sales were eventually halted to alleviate traffic. Square Enix isn't going to make the same mistake with Dawntrail, however, and it's taking aim at AFK players to help minimize wait times.

FF14 Dawntrail's fashion overhaul will completely change the endgame

The last Final Fantasy 14 Live Letter before Dawntrail gave us a lot to get excited about. Between a look at the new raid series, an even deeper dive into the regions of Tural, and a breakdown of 7.0's new quality-of-life features, the MMORPG's upcoming expansion is going to be a big one. Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail finally fixing one of worst things in MMOs

There's one big issue that's always meant I could never properly get stuck into any MMOs. I'm the chosen one, I'm told, the only person who can save the world from some impending doom. It all rests on my shoulders. Well, if that's the case, why are there 20 other people around me being told the exact same thing by that lying quest-giving NPC? It completely shatters my immersion. Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail fixes that issue.

FF14 Dawntrail is making a big and much-needed change to dungeons

As a Final Fantasy 14 newborn of just 200 hours, I've never been more excited for an expansion than I am for Dawntrail. The summer vacation vibes, new Viper and Pictomancer jobs, and party newcomer Wuk Lamat are making Tural an ideal 2024 getaway destination. I'm not just excited for the new stuff, though, as it looks like Square Enix, Naoki Yoshida, and company are making one massive quality-of-life change - here's hoping it sticks and even gets retroactively added to the rest of FF14.
