FF14's most cursed outfit arrives to honor the father of Final Fantasy

After months of waiting, we're finally getting the delightfully nightmarish Final Fantasy 14 full-body kappa suit. Originally requested by the father of Final Fantasy Hironobu Sakaguchi, who even wore a real-life version of the suit on stage at this year's Tokyo Fanfest, the new costume is arriving in the MMO as part of the upcoming 'Make It Rain Campaign' event. Does it look incredibly stupid? Yes. Will it give me nightmares? Yes. Will I be wearing it any chance I get, though? Also yes.

New FF14 Dawntrail benchmark announced after graphics controversy

Naoki Yoshida confirms that a new FF14 Dawntrail benchmark is on the way soon, after the initial release of the system-testing tool for the upcoming expansion caused confusion among players around the new graphical update for the beloved MMORPG. Yoshida, best known as 'Yoshi-P,' outlines the ongoing schedule for the changes being made, and says the team is currently aiming to deliver the redesigned benchmark by the end of May.

[h3]How to Participate[/h3]
Speak with the poor-heeled youth on the Steps of Nald (X:9.2 Y:9.1) in Ul’dah. Upon completion of the quest, you will receive a Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Medallium which you can use to obtain Yo-kai Medals.

* Players must be level 15 and above to start the quest. * Players must have completed one of the following main scenario quests: “The Gridanian Envoy,” “The Lominsan Envoy,” or “The Ul’dahn Envoy.”

Final Fantasy 14’s long-awaited graphics update in 7.0 will look better than the Dawntrail benchmark, Yoshi-P promises

Ahead of Final Fantasy 14’s next massive expansion, Dawntrail, arriving this summer, Square Enix recently put out a graphical benchmarking tool. Dawntrail’s benchmark is especially noteworthy as it’s the first time we’ve really been able to put the MMO’s much-anticipated graphical update arriving with 7.0 into practice and see what sort of demands it might make on our hardware by overhauling the 10-year-old game’s visuals.
