How FF14 Dawntrail early access and launch codes work

Are you locked out of the FF14 Dawntrail expansion after the official release? If you're having trouble figuring out how FF14 Dawntrail early access codes work, here's what you need to know on how to transition from early access into the full launch of the game.

It's slightly confusing when going into the FF14 Dawntrail release date, as for those that have pre-ordered the game, you'll be sent two codes: an early access code and a launch date code. Though the early access code will take you over the official launch date, it won't give you full and complete access to the FF14 expansion and you'll need to redeem the second code for the full experience.

* Additional features will be implemented in future updates:

The new raid, the Arcadion, is scheduled to release in Patch 7.01.
The new raid, the Arcadion (Savage), and the treasure hunt instance Cenote Ja Ja Gural are scheduled to release in Patch 7.05.

Please don't spoil FF14 Dawntrail, Square Enix asks

Square Enix is asking that you don't spoil Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail during the early access launch, and I couldn't agree more. With four days between the pre-order early access opening and the proper launch of the expansion, there are not going to be any restrictions on what we can all share, but it still pays to be mindful in a situation like this.
