Final Fantasy 14’s long-awaited graphics update in 7.0 will look better than the Dawntrail benchmark, Yoshi-P promises

Ahead of Final Fantasy 14’s next massive expansion, Dawntrail, arriving this summer, Square Enix recently put out a graphical benchmarking tool. Dawntrail’s benchmark is especially noteworthy as it’s the first time we’ve really been able to put the MMO’s much-anticipated graphical update arriving with 7.0 into practice and see what sort of demands it might make on our hardware by overhauling the 10-year-old game’s visuals.

The FF14 Dawntrail expansion draws ever closer, and with it the long-awaited graphical update for the decade-old MMORPG that's also set to arrive in Final Fantasy 14 patch 7.0. Following the recent release of an FF14 benchmark tool that allowed players to test out the new-look models in the game's character creator, while also trying out the new playable female Hrothgar race, concerns have been expressed among the community about the way the overhauled models look. Game producer and director Naoki Yoshida thanks players for the feedback, providing an explanation for the issue and sharing the team's update plans.

Final Fantasy 14's Dawntrail benchmarking tool has players happy with its new playable catmoms

As MMORPG Final Fantasy 14's upcoming Dawntrail expansion gets ever closer, Squeenix have released a benchmarking tool that lets you see how your rig might handle its graphical update. Not only that, but it also lets you sample the new female Hrothgar playable race. So far, folks seem to be happy with the tool and the catmoms.

The Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail character creator and benchmark tool is finally here, not only letting you test your rig's capability with the expansion, but also giving us all some incredibly hype cutscenes and a character creator for the MMO's new playable race. I promise you'll be going through that benchmark over and over, screenshotting your new Warrior of Light doing anything remotely cool, because I know I am.
