With FFXIV Dawntrail closing in, you might be wondering which side missions you should take on during the time between Final Fantasy 14's recent patch 6.5, Growing Light, and the arrival of the new expansion in summer 2024. There's a lot to choose from, and we at PCGamesN were pondering what the best optional content to do before Dawntrail might be. So, at a press conference during FFXIV Fanfest London 2023, I put the question to the top dog himself - game director Naoki 'Yoshi-P' Yoshida.

Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Ybarra issues a response, albeit a brief one, to the idea of a Diablo 4 and Final Fantasy XIV crossover from the latter's director, Naoki 'Yoshi-P' Yoshida. With FFXIV Fan Fest London taking place over the weekend, Yoshida expressed interest in a Diablo 4 crossover with the MMO, but was unsure of how it would work.

What would you like to see in FFXIV Dawntrail? There's certainly no shortage of things to do in Final Fantasy 14 at this point, but that doesn't mean players don't have a thousand ideas about what else they'd like to see next - or items they want to come back. Speaking at a press event attended by PCGamesN during FFXIV Fanfest London 2023, game director and producer Naoki Yoshida says the team will consider anything if players ask loudly enough.
