Final Fantasy XIV has revealed the first of two new jobs coming to the MMO in next year’s expansion Dawntrail. The Viper is a fast-paced melee DPS armed with two swords that can transform, Bloodborne-style, into a single two-handed weapon. It’s brand new for the Final Fantasy series, too.
With FFXIV Dawntrail on the horizon, we've been given another big glimpse into the future of Final Fantasy 14 courtesy of FFXIV Fanfest London 2023. To open the show, producer and director Naoki Yoshida, otherwise known as Yoshi-P, and localization supervisor Michael-Christopher Koji Fox took to the stage for their FFXIV Fanfest keynote, and PCGamesN had the pleasure of attending the event live in person to bring you all the details directly from the show floor.

The Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest in London reveals one of the two new jobs coming with Dawntrail in summer 2024, as FFXIV job Viper sees you wield two swords that can be combined into one bigger weapon for a mix of pressure and heavy blows.
