FF14 Mobile announces new feature paywalls to fight 'black market' trading

We're still waiting on confirmation of the FF14 Mobile global launch date, but it could feature one key change that's just been announced for the ongoing Chinese version. In a new update, developer Lightspeed Studio says it is introducing trading restrictions that will require a minimum spend in the free-to-play MMORPG before players can access features such as the market board, player trades, and Free Company chests.

Moogle Treasure Trove - The Hunt for Allegory Commences July 8!

It gives us great pleasure to announce the return of the Moogle Treasure Trove starting Tuesday, July 8, 2025! Collect irregular tomestones of allegory by completing specific duties and exchange them with itinerant moogles for a host of treasures including accessories and mounts. FF14 Occult Crescent changes now coming before 7.3, thanks to emergency update

Some of the Occult Crescent changes previously planned for FF14 patch 7.3 in August will now arrive this week, producer and director Naoki Yoshida announces. The adjustments, designed to make the MMORPG's new Forked Tower raid easier to access, will instead be implemented with emergency maintenance in order to more immediately improve the experience of tackling it.

FF14 Live Letter 87 addresses player concerns, shows new content for patch 7.3

Final Fantasy 14's Naoki 'Yoshi-P' Yoshida and Toshio 'Foxclon' Murouchi kicked off Live Letter 87 a bit differently than usual to showcase FF14 patch 7.3. The stream gave both responses to player concerns, and the info we've come to expect in terms of new quests, dungeons, trials, side content, and more that is coming in patch 7.3. There were some surprises in this Live Letter that players might not have been expecting, but since it's only the first such livestream for patch 7.3, the info was much more general than it will be for Live Letter 88, which will premiere about two weeks before patch 7.3, which is currently scheduled for early August.
