Crystalline Conflict Season One has drawn to a close!

Congratulations to those courageous competitors who reached the top of the rankings! Your ranking rewards are winging their way towards you via the moogle delivery service.

Additionally, tier rewards are available to all who finished the season in or above the Bronze tier. Speak with the Seasonal Quartermaster at the Wolves’ Den Pier (X:4.9 Y:5.7) to claim them.

When one fiercely embattled door closes, of course, another one opens─and thus are we delighted to announce the commencement of Season Two! Will you top your personal best and ascend to take your place amongst champions?

Initial Season Two Tier/Riser Placements

All competitors will begin Season Two placed five risers below where they finished Season One, with zero Rising Stars.

Patch 6.18 brings a number of additions and refinements to the game, including the Data Center Travel system and the new Japanese data center, Meteor.

Notice Regarding the Patch 6.18 Maintenance:

• Players who logged out in a World that is not their Home World prior to the maintenance will be automatically returned to their Home World upon logging in.
  
• Due to the number of players, there may be congestion issues immediately after the maintenance, so transfers may take some time to complete.
  
• Should there be a need to restart the game during transfer, players will still be in the queue until the transfer process is completed.
  
• The transfer process will not be interrupted if players minimize their screens.
  
• If the target World is congested (e.g., due to login rush after maintenance or when logins are concentrated), that World will be temporarily disabled as a destination.
  
• Due to the high number of visit requests per minute, the servers are currently unable to keep up with the high server load. We have temporarily suspended the Data Center Travel system and will gradually open this feature as we monitor the situation.

A recent Final Fantasy 14 Letter from the Producer has given us some details on the long awaited Island Sanctuary mode, and more, coming in the next big update.

The next big patch for everyone's favourite MMO, patch 6.2, is set to launch late August, and will bring in a bunch of new content. Including the highly-anticipated Island Sanctuary, which will give every player their own personal island to relax on.

"Players will be able to build their own personal island sanctuary in this relaxing solo content," reads a press release. "Gather materials, build facilities, care for creatures, and more, without the need for previous crafting or gathering experience."

Final Fantasy 14's next patch, 6.2, is scheduled to launch in late August. Among its many additions will be a new "Island Sanctuary", a personal island where players can gather materials, build facilities and look after creatures. It sounds like a slice of Stardew.
