FFXIV Aglaia Alliance Raid: how to defeat every boss

Want to know about the FFXIV Aglaia raid? Introduced in the recently released 6.1 patch, Aglaia is the first stage of the Alliance Raid. The Aglaia raid brings together three parties consisting of eight players each to fight against the divinities of Eorzea. As is the case with most raids in this MMO game, there's a unique storyline to delve into, powerful equipment to find, and much more.

This raid is part of the Myths of the Realm series, giving players a chance to learn about the twelve gods of Eorzea, exploring the divinities that have been lurking around the game's margins since the beginning. To jump into the FFXIV Aglaia raid, you must be level 90, have at least the item level of 565, and complete all the main scenario quests from this new patch.

Once you have done that, go to Old Sharlayan and speak with the Fresh-faced Student (X:9.1 Y:11.5) to obtain the 'A Mission in Mor Dhona' quest - this chain of missions lead you to the raid. Here's what you need to know to tackle the main bosses of the FFXIV Aglaia raid.

Final Fantasy XI returns to Final Fantasy XIV in one week

Final Fantasy XIV might be soaking up all the adulation these days, but the other FF MMO is still going strong, and the Final Fantasy XI crossover event is about to return once again with the Maiden's Rhapsody 2022. The seasonal event is coming back in less than a week's time, so if you're already sick of the eggs in FFXIV's major cities, you're about to have a new holiday to take on.

The Maiden's Rhapsody event returns on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. This is an exact repeat of the event that ran in 2015, 2017, and 2020, but if you've missed out before, now's your chance to check it out. If you want to replay the event, you can do so using the seasonal event replay feature.

You can start the event (or the replay) by talking to Remumu on the Limsa Lominsa upper decks at X:11.6, Y:11.2. That'll kick off the 'A Journey to Remember' quest, which like many seasonal quests, will have you working through an array of special seasonal FATEs.

Yoshi-P clarifies FFXIV Housing Lottery bug situation

Players attempting to buy a new house in Final Fantasy XIV's latest update have been running into a bug with the new lottery system which has caused them to miss out on their desired property - even in cases where they were the only bidder. The MMO game's producer and director Naoki Yoshida wrote a brief post addressing the situation on Saturday, but has now further clarified the situation in a longer write-up.

In his initial announcement, Yoshida said that "there are many patterns involved for the lottery conditions" which caused some speculation about whether there was some hidden complexity to determining the lottery outcome. In the follow-up post, Yoshida clarifies that the patterns he spoke of refer specifically to the entry conditions, and that the actual lottery itself uses a simple randomisation method.

Yoshida says that the team has the lottery data, and that it is possible for them to confirm the status of entry applications through database server logs. They are using these to ensure that players will not be negatively affected if they accepted the refund of their gil deposit offered after losing a lottery which suffered from one of the aforementioned issues.
