FINAL FANTASY XIV Online News

Final Fantasy XIV has been my favorite MMORPG since I first played it back in 2017. Many fans have been around even longer, with some active in-game since Square Enix first launched it over a decade ago. A core Final Fantasy XIV memory for me is my first Fan Festival and the opportunity it gave me to meet my Free Company friends in real life. Not only does FFXIV's global event offer a chance for players to come together, but it also generally includes fun new optional items such as emotes, glamour pieces, minions, mounts, and more.

Final Fantasy 14 has dozens of mounts, ranging from familiar Final Fantasy chocobos and monsters to some incredible elemental horses, birds and robots. Then there’s the even wilder rides available, from space whales, sentient vegetables and flying beds to witches’ brooms, ghosts and a literal disembodied head. Even so, its latest mount might somehow be one of its best yet.

FFXIV is the best MMORPG right now - I said it. Not exactly a controversial statement these days, perhaps; as its biggest rival World of Warcraft clambers to re-find its identity, Final Fantasy XIV seems to go from strength to strength. If you've never tried the critically acclaimed MMORPG, or fell off before its most recent Shadowbringers and Endwalker expansions, now might be the ideal time to jump in thanks to a Steam sale.
