Patch 6.4 Notes (Preliminary)

It is with great pleasure that we present the preliminary patch notes for Patch 6.4─The Dark Throne.

* Additional features will be implemented in future updates:
Blue mage, variant dungeon, criterion dungeon, Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures quests, Manderville weapon quests, and splendorous tools quests updates are scheduled to be released in Patch 6.45.

FFXIV director Naoki Yoshida wants you to play other games

FFXIV director Naoki Yoshida loves videogames, and he wants you to play more of them. Final Fantasy XIV has long been commended for not demanding your constant attention the way the classic MMORPG grind popularised by the likes of EverQuest and World of Warcraft has done in the past. Now, among plenty of big releases including Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and Diablo 4 headlining the coming months, 'Yoshi-P' says he's making it easier to get gear in FFXIV to give you more time to play other games.

Patch 6.4 Trailer Released!

The Patch 6.4 special site has been updated to include the trailer revealed during the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXVII, as well as details on the new variant and criterion dungeons, Mount Rokkon and Another Mount Rokkon; the new trial, the Voidcast Dais; the blue mage update; and the brand-new gear that can be obtained with Allagan tomestones of comedy.
