Final Fantasy XIV's January update will bring more player housing

Final Fantasy XIV's patch 6.3 will land in January 2023, with a new one of everything. A new 8-player trial, a new unreal trial, a new ultimate raid, a new dungeon, a new 24-player Alliance Raid, plus new main scenario and side story quests. Among all of the newness are new housing wards within existing districts, allowing more players to purchase their own in-game home.

Modding community Flat2VR has released its FFXIV VR mod in alpha, letting players enjoy the world of Eorzea from a whole new perspective while they wait for the FFXIV 6.3 release date in January. Already one of the best MMORPG games around, Final Fantasy 14 offers a varied and gorgeous world to explore. It's also filled with beloved characters built up across its emotional storyline that makes it one of the best single-player MMOs, and no shortage of player-made giant ladies and catgirls wearing the saucy leggings of Nier: Automata protagonist 2B, making it quite the spectacle to wander about in.

The FFXIV 6.3 patch details, release date, and more have been unveiled by game director Naoki Yoshida in the Final Fantasy 14 Live Letter 74. Joined as always by community producer Toshio Murouchi, Yoshi-P details what fans of the critically acclaimed MMORPG can expect to see in the next major update. The livestream revealed plenty of exciting news, including the patch title, new MSQ content, a fifth Ultimate, the next part of the Alliance Raid series, a new Deep Dungeon, PvP tweaks, and additional crafting and gathering updates for the multiplayer game.
