Patch 7.3 is live!

We are proud to present the patch notes for The Promise of Tomorrow, which follows the Warrior of Light as they aid a struggling Alexandria in the conclusion of the Dawntrail story.

This patch also features the second installment in the alliance raid series, Echoes of Vana'diel; a new trial; and a new treasure dungeon, Vault Oneiron.

Additionally, Patch 7.3 brings a new stage to Crystalline Conflict, the Bayside Battleground, and a number of refinements and additions to the game such as chat bubbles and portrait mode for group pose.

* Additional features will be implemented in future updates:

Cosmic Exploration and Tool Enhancement Quests - Cosmic Tools are scheduled to release in Patch 7.31.
Yok Huy society quests, a new deep dungeon, and Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures sidequests are scheduled to release in Patch 7.35.

Preliminary FF14 7.3 patch notes finally change one of its weirdest old dungeons

The preliminary FF14 7.3 patch notes are here, and they reveal some key changes coming in the critically acclaimed MMORPG's new update. Titled The Promise of Tomorrow, the incoming patch will mark the conclusion to the Dawntrail story arc, and almost certainly set us up for the road to the next expansion. Among the reveals is a redesign for one of the game's oldest and most notoriously weird dungeons, the previously hinted overhaul to Phoenix Downs, and yet another free Fantasia for all the glam fiends.

The FF14 7.3 release date is official, and it's coming in the first week of August. Game director Naoki Yoshida and community producer Toshio Murouchi are back again to show off the climactic patch for Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail. With the current expansion story set to reach its conclusion, there's a lot to look through, including the returning FF11 alliance raid and a new deep dungeon. In today's FF14 Live Letter 88, the pair walk us through an in-game look at everything coming in patch 7.3, including a newfound emphasis on creating something for everyone.

Square Enix calls time on FF14 Windows 10 support as security updates end

I'm going to have to upgrade to Windows 11. That much is now inevitable, and not just to ensure my own peace of mind as Microsoft ends security upgrades. Square Enix confirms that its critically acclaimed MMORPG FF14 will no longer support Windows 10 PCs from October. While you might still be able to play, the developer warns that it will no longer provide support for any problems that arise as a result.

FF14 Mobile announces new feature paywalls to fight 'black market' trading

We're still waiting on confirmation of the FF14 Mobile global launch date, but it could feature one key change that's just been announced for the ongoing Chinese version. In a new update, developer Lightspeed Studio says it is introducing trading restrictions that will require a minimum spend in the free-to-play MMORPG before players can access features such as the market board, player trades, and Free Company chests.
