Stardew Valley creator reveals a new and very important addition coming in the 1.6 update: 'Hats on cats (and dogs)'

Stardew Valley's 1.6 update was supposed to be a relatively small thing, intended primarily to make life easier for modders rather than approaching the size of the feature-packed 1.5 update that once seemed like it would be Stardew Valley's send-off. 1.6 has grown significantly in scope since then, to include things like "a major new festival," new late-game content, new items and crafting recipes, and support for eight-person multiplayer on Steam. But now creator Eric Barone has teased what is undoubtedly the most important part of the update, and it can be summed up in five words: "Hats on cats."..

Stardew Valley dev teases adorable 1.6 feature, Terraria dev responds

Stardew Valley occupies my heart, mind, and soul still, years following its initial release. The solo developer obviously has a maxed-out power level enabling him to make tending to a virtual farm so addictive, and it looks like fellow game devs would agree. He's got Haunted Chocolatier to work on, after all...

Stardew Valley fans rejoice, we're getting a brand-new farm and more

Stardew Valley is possibly my favorite game of all time, with its uncontested cozy vibes and top-tier wholesome aesthetic. The art is brilliant, the writing is great, and I always find myself never wanting to leave the game's small town. One of the most exciting things about Stardew Vally is the fact that ConcernedApe, the game's sole creator and developer, often releases updates with new content. With the 1.6 update on the horizon, he has just revealed a sneak peek containing some of its features.
