Resident Evil 7 Biohazard News

Resident Evil Village and Biohazard are coming to Nintendo Switch via the Cloud

I'm very much a horror fanatic, but I'm simultaneously a cosy gamer through and through. That said, when the Nintendo Direct revealed that not one, not two, but four main instalments in the Resident Evil series would be coming to Nintendo Switch via the Cloud, I jumped for joy.

Kicking things off is Resident Evil Village. The eighth and most recent instalment in the series will arrive on Switch as of October 28, with the Winter' Expansion DLC accompanying it on December 2.

In addition to being able to get up close and personal with Lady Dimitrescu from your Switch, you'll also be able to spend some time with Jack Baker, Tyrant, and Nemesis from the comfort of your bed, sofa, or wherever you choose to play your Switch games. Resident Evil Biohazard, plus the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, all currently have Cloud versions in development with releases planned for later this year. Looks like a cosy Christmas with Chris Redfield for me!

You can now roll back Resident 2, 3 and 7 graphical upgrades to make mods work again

Resident Evil modders have had an eventful week. First, Capcom released a free update for Resident Evils 2, 3 and 7 Biohazard which introduced ray tracing and higher framerates. Unfortunately, the update also broke every existing mod for those games, with no quick fix available.

All's well that ends well, though. In response to "overwhelming community response", Capcom have made the previous versions of the games available again, so that those wishing to use mods can roll back if they wish.

Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 just got their ray tracing updates

t its not-E3 showcase earlier today, Capcom shadow dropped the long-promised next-gen versions of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 7. These updates are focused on bringing the games natively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but PC is getting some love as well, with newly released Steam patches offering ray tracing support for all three titles. (Some of the other standout features, like 4K resolution and 120fps, were already supported on PC)...
