A New Start
Smoothing Out the Wrinkles!
Hello Hero!
It’s time that AdventureQuest 3D’s early game got a refresh. The game has changed a lot over the years, mostly in the newer maps and late game story lines; so, alongside the regular content releases, we’re steadily working on making the game’s progression feel more intentional and smooth.
And so, we must begin at the beginning. The tutorial.

We actually really like how the current tutorial in Death’s Lair feels, and our fancy data charts prove that most new players like this too. However, after that, it’s clear that players weren’t keen on the Void attack on Dragon Watch. So, we will be removing that map (after this live playtest) and use a new approach that is more reflective of the general gameplay and tone of the AQ3D.

Taking place right after leaving Death’s Lair, you will enter a brand new map to learn more of the gameplay basics. Encounter various NPCs who are more than happy to help a new hero learn how to build the skills they need to be successful before moving on to the city of Battleon.

So, get ready to view the game through a newb’s eyes and help us playtest the tutorial live!
Talk to Twilly in Battleon to join the new map and play through the same quest line that new players will experience as we teach you to switch classes, use travel forms, and more! Then please fill out the feedback survey from Twilly when you complete the questline so we can make adjustments for the final version.

Cloak Yourself in Cosmic Attire!
Cloaked in Mystery
Loremaster Hazel has made more progress in her research about the Cosmic Raiment! Journey to the highest heights of far away places as you follow Hazel’s cryptic clues.

Once you have solved the clues and brought back evidence, Hazel will be able to piece together a pattern to craft the Cosmic Cloak. With a little more sleuthing you can gather additional materials to ‘awaken’ the Cloak into a more Epic and stylish piece.
What is the Cosmic Raiment?
Loremaster Hazel has been researching a long-forgotten cosmic being that once roamed the lands of Lore. The writings she uncovered contain clues on how to unearth the remnants of this being, specifically the materials used to create its clothes and gear which Hazel calls the Cosmic Raiment. Additional special materials can be gathered to ‘awaken’ the pieces of the raiment to make them.
Cosmic Companion
Hazel awakened this Cosmic Companion during her initial expedition and seems to have created a special bond with it. If you choose, it will tag along with you and communicate your research findings back to her.

The Cosmic Companion quest pet allows you to access the Cosmic Raiment quests and quick travel back to the Loremaster’s Lodge with just a click wherever you are! And your pet will always be updated with the release of each new piece.

Last Chance!
XP Boost & Special Guest NPC! FG3000
FG3000 is in town with a shop full of Cosmetic items you can get for gold.
FG3000 is a well-known, high-energy, and super-positive MMORPG reviewer... and today, he is officially a video game NPC in AdventureQuest 3D! Find him in town with a shop full of cosmetic items that you can get for gold. He also happens to know the location of a lost sword... his lost sword. Which can be yours with an ample about of monster-murder. And to help any new players who need to level up in order to get this weapon, a server-wide XP Boost has been activated!
Story Time
How in the world did this happen.....?

FG3000 surprised the team and community by releasing a great video on our game called "24 HOURS of Adventure Quest 3D (Mobile/PC)".

We were honored! ... And retaliated by making him into an NPC.

(Do not worry... we reached out and got permission first.)
FG3000 is in game now!
Find him standing near the bridge in AdventureQuest 3D's Town of Battleon with a shop full of cosmetics for all players.
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!
Bonus! You can unlock FG3000's wickedly "dread"-ful (#seewhatididthere?) hair style using an item from his shop. Using the item will unlock the hair as an option in the barber shop.
The Sword of Swordness
We hid a FG3000 sword on a monster somewhere in the world.... somewhere.... and if you can find the monster that drops it, it will be yours.
A win for the community
This was an interesting thing to try-- and it might just bring some new friends to play with to AdventureQuest 3D. Before this release I talked to community YouTubers Gold Raven and Lag who enthusiastically agreed. Lag said, "A win for the game is a win for all content creators of the game, that's the way I see it."
XP BOOST
Gain experience faster while the server-wide XP boost is active this week. From now until next Wednesday at 11:59pm EST you will get 200% experience. (Note: Boosts character XP only, not class.) It is the perfect time to level up in AdventureQuest 3D.

Thank you and...

Battle on!

The Legacy of Nulgath
New Quests and Rewards!
Continue to enjoy the Nulgath Finale with more side-quests, rewards, and improved gameplay experience. Talk to Oblivion in Battleon to dive back into the OverSoul! Nulgath-themed Quest Pets received some updates, many with new quests, so talk yours today to start earning new rewards!

The Chest Shop has also gained two new items this week, and Stryche is in the Scholar District with the latest calendar rewards!
Side-Quests and Quest Pets

Hire Quests (Servants of Nulgath quest pets)
You can now ‘hire’ Servants of Nulgath to serve you directly! These quests aren’t designed to be the most difficult but they are still rewarding to complete! Each Servant is earnable through gameplay and comes with their own exclusive quests that will have you exploring all levels of the OverSoul. You hire these Servants from Malakai, where else, at the Throne of Nulgath.
Combat Style Quests
The Oblivion Blade of Nulgath now offers an array of Combat Style quests. These quests let you choose a unique combination of weapons to dual wield and master, tailored to your own preferred combat style. You must own the weapons you want to wield and, remember, the reward is only a cosmetic representation of your mastery.
Nation Loyalty Quests
Skew has off-loaded his “Nation Loyalty” quests to Oblivion. Continue or begin your journey toward becoming a loyal follower of Nulgath with these quests.
Juggernaut Items
Juggernaut Items are the best that the Nulgath Nation currently has to offer, which means they are also the most sought after and difficult to obtain. Only the most dedicated follower of Nulgath should attempt to obtain them. But with great sacrifice comes great reward.
Hanzo Void
3 new Reward Quests have been added to Hanzo Blademaster NPC, and some new quests and updates have been made to Hanzo Quest Pet.
Hint: Some of the new Hanzo weapon rewards are required for Combat Style quests, so take a look at the rewards before you start.
Oblivion’s Quest Pet Sale!
The Oblivion's Archfiend's Servants Artifacts shop is having a sale on Quest Pets. Save 25% when you buy a quest pet from this shop until January 24th, 2024. Oblivion has also added two new Travel Forms that will appeal to you followers of Nulgath, the Dread Fiend and Infernal Fiend travel forms. Find Oblivion in Battleon or the OverSoul to peruse his wares today!
Improved Experience
Many side-quests and dungeons in the Nulgath Finale maps have been adjusted for better gameplay experiences, including new rewards, greater availability of some crafting materials, renamed quests for clarity and consistency, and additional quests on Quest Giver NPCs. The most affected areas and NPCs are the Shadow Dungeon (Prison) with dozens of new drops, Oblivion Blade of Nulgath quest pet, Nulgath’s Larvae quest pet, and Crag and Bamboozle quest pets.
