[h2]Legion Challenge Fight[/h2]
A horrifying new fight for those who have unlocked the Arena of Souls
Calling all heroes! A Legion Dragon has been resurrected by a vile necromancer. We need your help to defeat him and his minions. Be careful though, the necromancer has recruited himself a group of samurai warriors to aid him! Once the challenge is cleared, you will be rewarded with great loot, including new Legion items and a title! You can access the challenge by talking to the book next to the door to the Arena of Souls. You will need to be level 45 and have completed the Underworld story to access the fight.

[h2]Legion Summoning (Gifting)[/h2]
Finally, it is back! Buy a Summoning Rune from the Underworld Summoner... and use it to summon a Legionary for you and all of your friends to battle. For those who want to host their own events in game, we also have Greater Legion Summoning Runes. The Greater Legion Summoning Rune will spawn a Greater Legionary which can summon up to 6 lesser legionaries. Sometimes the summoned lesser legionaries will be upgraded to a Rogue Legionnaire, which has double drop rates and a chance to get a live event coin!



[h2]Legion Gifting Rewards[/h2]
These summoned monsters always drop a special currency known as Legion Soul Remnants. These can be used to get items from the shop on the bridge in town. Summoned monsters also have a chance to drop one of 15 items including weapons, armor, and exclusive travel forms.

[h2]PvP Rewards[/h2]
New special legion PvP rewards are now available in the Battle Hall. The Savage Great Sword of the Legion and the Legion Star Katana can be found by talking to High Marshal Firebrand in the Special PvP Rewards shop. Only the most prestigious of PvP-ers will be able to get these, running a high price of 10,000 Marks of Glory, and requiring Glory Rank 50.



[h2]Get Legion Wings for a limited time[/h2]
The Wings of the Astral Veil are now available for a limited time only. To get these amazing items, you need to purchase any package in the upgrade shop, now with 50% extra Dragon Crystals on select packages. For those that get one of the Guardian upgrade packages, you will also get the Spectral Wings of the Astral Veil, a ghostly variant that is only for Guardians!

For those of you that are already a Guardian, you will get both the Wings of the Astral Veil and the Spectral Wings of the Astral Veil upon purchasing any Dragon Crystal package in the upgrade shop. Check your inventory on your next login to see both blades in your inventory.


[h2]Let the March of the Legion begin! [/h2]
No matter if necromancy or ninja…mancy… is your calling, let us not forget the true significance of a birthday. For the birth of Dage the Dark Lord marked the beginning of a new era for the forces of darkness – and fantastic art design. Let this day be a reminder that even in the depths of darkness, there is always the promise of achieving greatness!

A Vampire Hunter Mystery!

Greetings, Hero! A new mission has emerged from the shadows, beckoning you to a tale of mystery and sorrow. In every main saga zone, a new NPC awaits with a shop filled with gear tailored to your level.


Additionally, we've supercharged the XP from questing in the early zones of the main story, and a week long  gold boost to boot! Let’s dive into the details!



[h2]A new Adventure/Quest: A Shadow of One's Self[/h2]

Embark on a poignant journey in "Shadow of One's Self." A woman’s lover has vanished into the night, leaving only silence and mystery in his wake. She needs your help to uncover the truth of his fate. Can you solve the mystery and bring her closure? During the Darkovia saga, seek out Altaria in Boog's Tavern to begin the quest.

You will be rewarded with...


Shadowsunder, a blade that gleams with the promise of resolve and strength.



[h2]This new adventure unlocks half way through the Darkovia Saga.[/h2]

You can play this new story adventure once you have completed the vampire & werewolf fueled Darkovia Saga. If you have not played through the Darkovia Saga yet, then prepare to step into the war between the Vampires and the Werewolves as both sides attempt to fulfill the prophecy of the Blood Moon. To begin or continue this level 18+ saga (That is level, not age.... although Safiria's dress really is something... the new quest is level 21. Which makes sense. It does start in a tavern after all.)  Open your adventure menu and go to Main Story and then Darkovia.



[h2]Get some gear… Justin Case[/h2]

Players with low level gear have been asking where to get better gear during the main story. Look no further than Justin Case. He is a NPC dedicated to making sure you’re well-equipped for the challenges ahead. Justin's shop offers level-appropriate gear to ease your journey through each of the main saga zones. He is located at the beginning of each of the main saga zones.



[h2]Main Story XP Increase[/h2]

We increased the XP for main story quests from Doomwood all the way to Ashfall, including dungeon side quests from Greenguard through Shadowskull Tower. These changes are designed to streamline your adventure, making it easier to progress through the main story uninterrupted.

[h2]Lunar New Year is Leaving[/h2]

The Lunar New Year celebration is drawing to a close, and with it the Lunar New Year shop is now closed, but not to fret, hero!  The Dragon Guardian shop will transition to its new home in the Guardian Tower on Guardian Fortes. Make sure to secure your dragon-themed items before the Year of the Dragon festivities conclude!



[h2]Dage Collection Coming Next Week![/h2]

Next week heralds the arrival of the Dage collection, complete with blue flames and skulls. The update will include gifting and a challenging level 45 boss fight. Prepare your gear and rally your allies; epic battles and legendary rewards await.

The Tailor Scouts Meet the Fashion Police!



[h2]The Best in Fashion![/h2]
Join the Tailor Scouts on their mission to retrieve the coveted Mithril Shears. These shears are a magical item that will help Winnie make new, more powerful costumes, taking their style to the next level! However, an encounter with the Fashion Police pokes a hole in their plans and threatens an old friendship. Help the Tailor Scouts stop the Fashion Police and maybe even save an old friend in the process.

Note: You must complete the first quest, “Tailor Scouts” in order to begin this quest, “The Mithril Shears”.



[h2]Defeat the Fashion Police![/h2]
When you talk to Winnie in Battleon about The Mithril Shears, she informs you that Tailor Scout Melanie is taking longer than expected to retrieve the coveted magical Mithril Shears from Arcangrove. The mission is simple, find Melanie and help her bring home the shears. However, the Fashion Police show up just in time to snag the Mithril Shears before you can. Help Melanie and the other Tailor Scouts track down the Fashion Police and get back those shears for Winnie! On the way, you just might save an old friend from becoming a fashion victim herself.



[h2]Knowledge is Power![/h2]
Earn these Tailor Academy Uniforms and Shoes as you play! Later, you can craft the Fashion Police outfit as well (and additional Tailor Academy Uniforms), from Winnie’s Tailor Academy Uniforms shop when you complete the Mithril Shears quest.

[h2]AQ3D Soundtrack Update[/h2]
As of this release, all commercial music within AdventureQuest 3D (with the exception of some tracks provided by guest artists) has been removed from the game maps! Jongaar (with some help from Broomtool) has spent many months replacing the soundtracks in the main maps with his own custom music, and is continuing to work on replacing the music in the side story and event maps as well. This is a huge task and will take a long time to get every map filled with new soundtracks. However, this means that our content creators are now free to stream AQ3D with the sound on without fear of their stream being demonetised. So, if you happen to enter a map without a soundtrack playing in the background, that’s not a bug. New music is on the way!

Carnaval has left the Social District until next year.
  • Lunar New Year event ends near the end of February.
  • Heroes Heart Day Collection and related content leaves around March 13th, 2024.

We’re showing our love and appreciation for the Heroes of Lore as we celebrate Heroes Heart Day! Enjoy a new Heroes Heart Day Collection and a related heartbreaking quest from Romeo Valentale. We’ve also implemented the new Mail system so you can send messages to your friends even when they are offline! Plus, level 45 challenges have appeared in the Battleon Foothills, and Lunar New Year celebrations continue with a Dravir pet added to Saber’s shop!

There’s an emergency in Seleden! Romeo Valentale needs you to meet his friend, Enitenlav, there in the forest who needs your help. Enitenlav created a matchmaking mishap between some of the creatures of Seleden Forest and needs your help sorting it out. If you do well, Romeo will reward you with a heartful reward: the Crystal Heart Sword!

Note: The Heroes Heart Day shops and quests are seasonal (temporary) but come back every year.



[h2]The Lunar New Year Celebration Continues![/h2]
This Blackened Heart Dravir pet is ready to leave its nest and explore the wold with you! Just in time for the Year of the Dragon celebration. Visit Saber’s Lunar New Year Shop to pick up your own dravir companion for a handful of Dragon Crystals; or, if you’re a Dragon Guardian, get one for Free from the Guardian Tormir.

Also, fear not! If you aren’t able to become a Dragon Guardian before the Lunar New Year shops close, the Dragonscale Guardian Equipment and Blackened Heart Dravir pet will remain available in the Guardian Tower until the next Lunar New Year.



[h2]New Feature: Mail![/h2]
You can now send and receive mail in AdventureQuest 3D! Click the Mail button in the Menu to open your inbox and see the messages awaiting you. At the top of the Mail tab, you can also Compose (write) messages to send to your friends and Guild members by clicking the button that looks like a letter. Here you can type in the name of the Player you want to send a message to, even if they are offline, and type out your message just like an email.

That’s not all! The Dev Team can also use this Mail feature to send occasional rewards directly to your inbox!

However, If you don’t want to receive messages from other players, you can check the Mail Blocked setting in the Mail tab. In the future, we would like to update the Mail Settings to allow you to choose the types of people who can send you mail (only Friends, Guild Members, your Party, or All Players). For now, write your heart out!
 


[h2]Level 45 Challenge Books![/h2]
Return to the Battleon Foothills (the new intro area) when you reach level 45 to discover the appearance of three new Challenge Books. The challenges have special rewards, like pets, travel forms, and titles but require great skill and strategy to win! These Challenge Books only appear once you have reached level 45, so get going and level up!
