The Search for the Cosmic Pauldrons



[h2]Loremaster Hazel is on the case![/h2]
Loremaster Hazel has some information about the next item: the Cosmic Pauldrons. Return to the Loremaster’s Lodge across from Yulgar’s Inn to get started. She will be excited to share what she's learned!

[h2]Researching the Cosmic Raiment[/h2]
Investigate the lairs of terrifying monsters and navigate mystical glens for more clues on Hazel’s research. This third piece is called the Cosmic Pauldrons. Once you have obtained all of the materials, you will be able to piece together your Cosmic item. If you so choose, you may ‘awaken’ its Epic power through collecting additional materials.

Note: If you are still working on piecing together the Garment or Wrap, check out the Research Crystal on Hazel’s desk. It’ll help get you back to the locations where you found the crafting materials for your item.

The Cosmic Pauldrons[/h2]
Begin researching the third piece of the raiment by choosing the “Unearthing the Raiment” option when you talk to Hazel in the Loremaster's Lodge. Don’t forget to take your trusty Cosmic Companion along with you, so you can Turn In and Accept your quests while you’re away from Battleon.

[h2]Additional Cosmic Quests[/h2]
When you have completed the current questline, you can Accept a Tangled Skein daily quest. These quests allow you to gather additional Threads for crafting all of the Cosmic items.
Meanwhile, you can also Accept the repeatable “Gathering the Threads” quests to earn Threads specific to a certain item. The repeatable quests give you less Threads but you can do the quest as many times as you want in one day.



[h2]New Additions to the 2023 Talk Like a Pirate Day Collection![/h2]
Since you loved these little guys so much, we added their alternate forms to the Collection. You can now choose to have Macawliday and Rapscallion as either a travel form or a pet… or both!

Zephyrath has left the Social District and the double Samurai Class Tokens boost has ended.

Gunpowder Mary has returned to Battleon with the 2023 Talk Like a Pirate Day Collection. Pick and choose your favorites from the collection or buy the Collector’s Chest to get everything in the collection plus the title “Barrel o’ Monkey”. Sneaky ol’ Captain Crisp has follow in Mary’s wake to get his revenge on Captain Rhubarb by selling Cursed Ship Summoning Runes. Summon Cursed Ships for your friends and the community and each successful defeat of the ships delivers a pile of loot to plunder!

[h2]Summon a Cursed Pirate Ship for your Friends![/h2]
Captain Crisp is a long time rival of Captain Rhubarb and he’s brought a whole lot of firepower with him to Battleon. With a Cursed Ship Summoning Rune a life-sized Cursed Pirate Ship will instantly appear and begin attacking with the full force of its cannon power. Sunder the cursed ship to plunder its loot! Every ship has a stack of Captain Crisp’s Tokens which can be used to purchase the rarer items found aboard a pirate’s ship. There is also a chance of looting some of Captain Crisp’s own ‘Crispy Dubloons’ to add to your own pocket.

Defeat Zephyrath in the Social District!

Zephyrath has blown into the Social District from the World Tree and we’re expecting prizes to drop for two straight weeks. We’re calling on the Samurai for aid, so talk to Hensou if you’d like to join the team of Samurai and earn extra class tokens.

Head straight for the Social District to fight Zephrath. This contrary storm elemental has escaped the World Tree and alternates between wind and water, depending on its mood. Team up with your fellow heroes and local Samurai to defeat it and earn strikingly good rewards while you're at it!

September Promo Item: Sea Dog's Falchion



[h2]Sea Dog's Falchion[/h2]
This falchion serves a Sea Dog well with a sharp blade and a spiked crossbar for a deadly right hook!

The Sea Dog's Falchion weapon is included with all packages from the Upgrade Shop, including Guardian and Lore Strider. Guardian packages also give the Dead Man's Falchion. Check your inventory on your next login after purchase.

Note: All accounts that had made a purchase from the Upgrade Shop prior to this update on September 1st, 2023, were retroactively awarded these items.

[h2]What if I'm already a Guardian?[/h2]
Great! When you buy any package, you will get both versions of the Sea Dog's Falchion directly added to your inventory.

If you miss the promotional period, Guardians can still get the Dead Man's Falchion. Head to the Guardian Tower to talk to Fortes. He has a shop for "Special Guardian Rewards" where you can buy the Dead Man's Falchion and any other special Guardian items released through these monthly promotions with Guardian Class Tokens. Make sure you have completed the Guardian Initiation to unlock class gear.
