Relive the Cursed 20th Anniversary of Doom event with all new host Beleen, the Pretty Pinkomancer. Play through this event in the style of a B-Horror movie marathon with six frighteningly terrible games. Or are they so awful they’re good? You decide!

The event celebrates the 20th anniversary of Artix Entertainment creating games… with a few adjustments from its original run in 2022. It is now hosted by Beleen, the Pretty Pinkomancer, and features voice acting, music, and cameos from returning guests George Lowe, Aurelio Voltaire, and Kimberly Freeman. You're the guest of honor in this special event and it is now permanent content. So grab your sword, dust off your spell book and head to Yulgar’s Inn to start the adventure…

[h2]Who is Beleen?[/h2]
Beleen is the perky, pink-loving punsmith who joined the team as one of the main writers for AdventureQuest Worlds during the first part of the Chaos Lord Saga, then flooded our marketing and community management teams with her positivity and puns. Recently, she's returned to work on several in-game events with the teams... including the script for this event! That's why it made sense to have her take over as the host for the event’s revival, and finally bring Beleen into 3D.
[h2]Look Who’s Back![/h2]
While we had to say goodbye to some of the special guests in the original event, a few friends decided to stick around. Boy are we lucky to have them.
Aurelio Voltaire
You’ll find him inside of Scarbucks, playing guitar for the locals. When you finish the Scarbucks game, you’ll unlock the dance party where you can listen to a track from Aurelio Voltaire’s latest album “The Black Labyrinth - A Requiem for the Goblin King”.
The A.I. formerly known as Kimberly Freeman
Veterans of our games may not recognize her in this event. She has taken the form of your good pal and robot A.I. known as KIMBr:L3 in Derpicorn Apocalypse. Turn up your volume to hear a song from her band Audio Rate FM play in the background.
George Lowe
There’s no better way to pass the time in AFK: The Game than with quips of George Lowe cheering (or jeering?) you in the background and rewarding you with a shop full of prizes for your time well spent.
[h2]Your 20th Anniversary Trove[/h2]
It’s time to complete your trove quest! While we did remove the ability to obtain any of the items in the original event with “20th Anniversary” in the title, we made an exception for those who already started their 20th Anniversary Trove. It took a lot of brainstorming and fine-tuning, but as long as you already started the trove during the original release in 2022, you can still obtain these items to turn in for your trove. You will have to be on the quest to turn in that item in order to unlock the item in a shop and/or for it to drop from a monster in the appropriate map. So go forth and complete your 20th Anniversary Trove!
[h2]What’s New in this Event?[/h2]
We wanted to reward the players who went above and beyond during the original release. Those who achieved the highest ranks possible in any of our B-Horror adventures and earned Legendary items. So, we made a few adjustments to honor those achievements in this permanent version of the event.

Zom-bae:
- Legendary "Axe of 1000 Corpses" is Legacy and replaced with Epic "Axe of 999 Corpses"
8-Bit Battleon:
- Legendary "Pixel Blade of Awe" is Legacy and renamed “Classic Pixel Blade of Awe”. It has been replaced with Epic "Pixel Blade of Awe"
AFK:
- "AFK Legend" badge/title is Legacy and replaced with "AFK Eternal"
