Sandsea Saga Part 5: Lair of the Sand Witch



[h2]The Sandsea Saga continues with our latest release[/h2]
The search for the magic lamp is underway, but before you can continue your quest, Lord Sekt sends you off to deal with other troubles plaguing the desert...
Since the time you first arrived at Sandsea, something -- or someone -- has been attacking Fahad’s caravans. What malevolent force is behind the attacks, and could it be responsible for other calamities in the Sandsea? But that is not the only conflict you will find in the desert, as the Voidrakar are mounting another assault on the Valley of the Undying King. Will you be able to keep the advancing Voidrakar at bay? Can you solve the mystery behind the caravan attacks? Log in to AdventureQuest 3D to continue the Sandsea Saga part 5 to find out. The Sandsea Saga awaits for all players level 31 and over.



[h2]Voidrakar in the Valley[/h2]
Help Sekt’s guard fight back the Voidrakar who are trying to force their way into the Valley of the Undying King. Meet the Commander at the desert ruins and get into position. Keep your eyes peeled. You must defend the ruins from multiple waves of Voidrakar attacks coming from any direction.



[h2]Defend the Ruins[/h2]
The raids on Fahad’s supply caravans have gone ignored long enough. The guards are running low on supplies and can barely hold back the Voidrakar forces without help. Fahad is happy for your help but one person is not enough. You have a mutual friend who might be convinced to assist… Zhoom.
[h2]A Magical Disturbance[/h2]
Fahad believes whatever is attacking his caravan is capable of powerful magic… A witch of some sort who derives their power from the desert sands. A Sand… Witch, if you will. Zhoom has heard of such a creature and he is willing to track her down with your help.



[h2]Follow Zhoom![/h2]
Get ready to support Zhoom in tracking down the culprit behind the caravan attacks. With Zhoom guiding the way, the two of you will scour the desert in search of the source of all kinds of magical trouble. Getting to your destination won't be easy, so be ready to assist Zhoom against whatever foe shows up along the trail.
Note: Let Zhoom know when you’re ready to get going! He’ll wait for you to catch your breath after each encounter.



[h2]The Sand Witch’s Layer… er, Lair[/h2]
Enjoy the new immersive sound effects and a new soundtrack designed specifically for this dungeon by Jongaar. Follow the sounds of the Sand Witch’s chants and cackles as you search her lair. Just be mindful of what you say to her. All that sand has made her a salty Sand Witch. Also, pay close attention to the altars in her lair. The pretty lights are more than just decoration.



Should you succeed, Fahad may need you to go back into the sand witch’s lair each day to make sure the sandy menace doesn’t return. You’ll be rewarded very well for it, and you can use your rewards at Fahad’s new Sand Witch Shop! A Lil’ Yucky Pet and Alter Ego armor set + weapon are available to purchase with your Sand Witch Leftovers. XD

Visit Annette in Battleon or on Pointe Less Isle to help her with the Shark Attack quests and join the Summer war. There are five quests available including a repeatable Fishing quest for those of you who just want to chill on the shores while helping. Quests give a stack of Shark Attack Tokens which can be turned into Pointe Less Trophies with the quests. Redeeming Pointe Less Trophies boost the war meter and can be used to buy your war rewards as they unlock in the Summer Shark Attack Shop.

[h2]Vetroid Jellyfish Egg?[/h2]
The pet and travel form in this year's collection has not hatched yet. Expert Cryptozoologists believe that these mysterious blue eggs will hatch into a Vetroid. Typically they are deep sea monsters. But, what would happen if one of these eggs hatched into the open air? Experts speculate that the Vetroid would gain the ability to breathe oxygen and float effortlessly in the air-- very much the same way their deep sea relatives do in water. One thing is certain. Vetroid eggs ONLY hatch once a year and they ALL hatch at the same time. And that time... is within next week!

How do you get there? Head to town and talk to Annette. And watch out for sharks, giant crabs, and katana wielding Samurai shellfish.

Pyramid of Crocos Challenge



[h2]Pyramid of Crocos Challenge is now live![/h2]
The story fight you experienced has been expanded and new mechanics have been added for a more exciting and dangerous challenge! Also, Kai-Lee the Pet Vendor in Bastion has an overstock of new Sandsea pets. Get them before they're gone!



[h2]Crocos Pyramid Guard[/h2]
Return to the Crocos’ Pyramid and talk to the guard stationed there. He has two new quests for you to acquire related to the Crocos Challenge. Both quests are repeatable and give a large amount of Experience Points for the grind ahead. Completing the main quest, “Trouble in the Water Pyramid”, will also reward you with extra Crocos’ Teeth, which you’ll need to purchase items from Crocos’ Treasure shop. Furthermore, the guard may have something interesting to tell you about the pyramid’s water...



[h2]A Challenge Awaits You in Crocos’ Pyramid[/h2]
This challenge is an expansion of the story dungeon with new mechanics and loot! But overcoming this challenge will take a lot of teamwork and resourcefulness! Take, for example, the new Gill Potions that will randomly drop from the challenges mobs. The Gill Potions will allow you to breathe underwater for a short period of time. Why would that come in handy? You’ll have to play to find out. Word of advice: You may want to bind that Gill Potion to a hotkey the first chance you get. You never know when it may come in handy. Completing the challenge will provide you with materials you can use to craft your own Gill Potions from Fahad outside Lord Sekt’s temple.Gill Potions aren’t the only fun new surprise to be found in the Crocos Challenge. Areas that were once locked or seemingly too dangerous in the story mode are open for you to investigate. What will your search yield? Perhaps there’s a quest related to that…



[h2]Let Sleeping Mummies Lie[/h2]
Somehow, someway, you’ll discover that secret hidden in the challenge that’ll allow you to complete the Pyramid Guard’s quest “Let Sleeping Mummies Lie.” Doing so will not only give you ample experience and gold, but it will also unlock an enhanced version of the challenge boss fight. Defeating this enhanced boss will reward you with an “Exalted” chest and an additional special reward chest for going above and beyond. The Exalted chest contains higher drop rates for set items, an exclusive “Crocos’ Champion” title, and a chance to get the Lil’ Scorpion Fish Pet. The special reward chest includes… well… best not to say too much about that yet other than it’ll come in handy for a future release. So, what’s the secret to completing this quest? Well, that’s for us to know and you to find out!



[h2]Crocos’ Treasure Shop[/h2]
Bad RNG on your Crocos Pyramid runs? Take all of the Crocos’ Teeth you’ve earned back to the Pyramid Guard. You can use your collection of Crocos’ Teeth to purchase the entire Epic rarity Keeper of Water set from the Guard with Crocos’ Teeth (excluding the Alternate Armor and Belt pieces which can only be acquired from the Challenge Boss). The treasure shop is also the only place to acquire the Keeper of Water Scythe, so save up to acquire that beauty of a weapon!

Kai-Lee’s Pet Shop now has an overstock of new Sandsea pets! She has scarabs, she has snakes, she scorpions, and… Living Cacti?!?! Well, whichever is your fancy, they come in just about every color and price range. Kai-Lee just needs a little help first… Help Kai-Lee research the Do’s and Don’ts of handling these wild pets to make them available in her shop. And don’t forget, Skiffmaster Squint is now able to take you directly to the Rebel Camp if you have unlocked it through the saga. Simmi-Tar and Paul DeRonn’s quests have also received reward boosts.

Sandsea's Deadly Monster Quests



[h2]Return to the Rebel Camp[/h2]
Schmoe and Brienne the Blacksmith have some monstrous requests. Kill deadly monsters around Sandsea and use their monster parts to craft deadly weapons!



[h2]Mamba Mia![/h2]
Meet Schmoe, the hydration specialist for the rebels. Buy potions and water bottles, visit his Hydration Station for Moglinade, or take on his special quest "Mamba Mia!" The cave snakes and their Mamba mama snake have moved into his favorite hangout spot in the cave. Clear them out swiftly and he'll give you 5 Rebel Rubies as a reward.



[h2]Deadly Monster Parts[/h2]
Return to Brienne the Blacksmith in the rebel camp for a new quest! Help her out by killing three of the deadliest monsters in the Sandsea: King Nolagem, Sting, and Sliteroth. She'll pay you in Rubies and Monster Parts which you can turn into level 35 Deadly Monster Weapons. Just make sure you have some Sandestine Alloy on hand for crafting. Craig the Intern, located in Nigel Fuzzybum’s office in Bastion, can help you acquire the rare alloy if you need some.
