You are finally able to enter the Tower of Magic! It's majestic interior will have you spell-bound.



Travel across Arcangrove Forest to enter the Tower. Talk to Rayst in the Tower to begin the story quest and meet the Archcouncil.




Here, the post powerful mana users from the different schools of magic gather. Including...





The Archcouncil is led by Archmage Arziir. You want help finding the weapon powerful enough to defeat Vane (and unlock that second rune) but Arziir is hesitant to share the Tower's knowledge. He is willing to strike a deal though. Everyone has a problem an intrepid adventurer is willing to solve.




You need to gather clues to decide where in the world Tyrus Kel may have gone. His last known location is in the Restricted Section of the Library, but... It's restricted. There are no invisibility cloaks to help you in this story, so you're going to have to cut another deal. For some reason, there is no magic solution for dealing with the Tower of Magic.




The Archmage Arzzir sends you out to find the Heretic called Tyrus Kel who stole a book from the Restricted Section of the Tower's Library. You will travel to all of the places you got to visit in the preview in this search. But you're not the only one looking for him, and not everyone will be helpful along the way.





You couldn't talk to them in the preview, and they don't plan on saying much now; but you'll get the information you need. Yes, *they* talk to you and Unicorn Glenn's mean mug isn't just for show.




Find out why Tyrus Kel spent a lot of time in the Ornithon Camp. You will also have to fight some mushroom men who are much more aggressive than the ones in the Dragon Graveyard. Be careful adventurer.




A mage so bad nobody would keep him... Except the Void King himself. He's looking for Tyrus the Heretic too.




Your search will lead you into the Crimson Bog. A new dungeon! You will have to fight through Crimson Circle magi and powerful monsters. This was not part of the preview since it is also a turning point in the story. So enjoy!




We won't divulge the rest of the story. That's up to you to find out. But you will learn about the various other kinds of magic that exist in LORE, even if the Archmagi Council doesn't approve of them. You will also find out the secret that got Tyrus Kel labeled a "Heretic" and cause him to draw the attention of Vane's cronies.

The newest version of AdventureQuest 3D just dropped, and with it... a preview of the magical forest of Arcangrove. Login and explore new areas filled with unicorns, bird-people, and magical treasures.


Use the travel crystal to get to Arcangrove. Upon entering the magical forest, you will meet Rayst. He is an Elder Evoker. In case you were wondering, his title of Elder Evoker means that he is of the 1st rank of Magi who are allowed access to the Restricted section of the Tower of Magic. When you talk to him, he will give quests to earn pieces of his set.


Coming with the release of the full Arcangrove Saga... you will enter the Tower of Magic. This week, you can speak to the Sentinels who guard it. They will give you quests to earn Crescent Wolf Armor.



The forest of Arcangrove is stalked by arcanwolves. But there is ONE monsterous wolf, that is larger than them all. It is the Crescent Wolf. It is a more powerful wolf inbued with the power of the blue moon. When a cresent wolf falls in battle, a new arcanwolf is chosen to ascend. At this point it receives its crescent blades which it weilds from its mouth. Because... it's a wolf. No hands. We checked. You may have seen Craft the full set by doing the quests from the Sentinels who guard the tower.


It's real! It's really... really real! The magical place from your sister's fairy books. Except you can fight them. You know. For loot.


On the Arcangrove side of the Unicorn Glen border, you can find Vesta the Herbalist at her cabin. Craft 6 new items and ingredients (for quests or for purchase) including Unicorn Dust and Brownie Parts. (Brownie like the dessert? Or brownie like the creature? YES.)

Not much else was divulged about Vesta, so I guess we'll find out together.


Oh the majestic sights you will witness in Unicorn Glen! But none is so... *gulps* articulately animated as Todd the Derp'icon. This beast is officially the toughest monster in the world.

(You may have accidentally experienced Todd the Derpicorn pre-release, thanks to a spoiler event by our new programmer Dagger. Todd was drawn by Dage, animated by Korin, and is pride and joy of the AQ3D team.)


He is "hoofs-down, our most animated monster ever." Dage did the art and Korin did the animation. Together they made a truly derpy monster. Farming Todd the Derpicorn is also required to loot hard-to-find items, but he's very hard to kill (level 31!!!), so get real comfortable with looking at that derp face.



You might also spot a certain unicorn bro. You know who I mean.


"What is an Ornithon?" I (Glisel) asked Cysero. "Birdperson. Like in the bank," he said.

Well, that explains why General Polly is a Guard Parrot. When you talk to Polly, you will find level 27 weapons (with stats!) available, and all created by Thyton. For 25,000 gold each; except for a special craftable weapon called Dark Destiny. Now you have something to do with those millions of gold you've accrued for the past 25+ levels! Let me just say, when Cysero mentioned a chakram, I got very excited. And then I saw the chakram and I'm all giddy. I'll gladly shell out gold for that beauty. The other weapons are beautiful too, but this is my fave.

The Ornithon Camp itself is filled with Ornithon settlers and large tree houses. I'm not ashamed to say it took me awhile to realize how to get up into those tree houses. Well... maybe a little... but I can't take it back now.




We hope you enjoy this preview of Arcangrove. It is something to hold you over while we finish the cutscenes and maps. The next Arcangrove Saga release will be the full story release. For all of you LORE lore lovers (see what I did there?). You will find out the source of LORE's magic. You will be able to enter the Tower of Magic to continue your magic training. Specifically mana-based magic (Because there are other types... like dragon magic and void magic). You will also learn about the Council of Magi who are the governing body of all mana-based magic in the world.

It is a really fun class to play, and these new skills are going to add a lot of fun to the game.

• Zorbak's Bane
  Call upon Zorbak to empower your weapon, dealing heavy damage and strengthening nearby allies. Increases your attack until another Moglin is called.
  
• Twilly's Blessing
  Call upon Twilly to heal all nearby allies. Auto-attacks heal allies and drain mana until another Moglin is called.
  
• Twig's Seal
  Call upon Twig to enchant your weapon, silencing your target. Auto-attacks regenerate mana until another Moglin is called.
  
• Passive: Moglin Reach
  Unlocks at rank 4... increasing the size of all area effect abilities
  
• Ultimate: MOGLIN PUNT
  Rear back and pummel a Moglin through your enemies. Don't worry, they enjoy it. The Moglins, not your enemies.
  
• Cross Skill: Blizzy's Blizzard Blitz
  Blizzy's Blizzard Blitz is the the Moglomancer's Cross Skill. Summon Blizzy to slow all enemies nearby. Once unlocked you can equip this on any class. We will be improving the functionality of this spell next week.
  

If you have been following my Twitter or Facebook, then you probably saw photos of that truck filled with 27,000 Moglins that showed up at our "Secret Underground Lab". Which... also a secret... is apparently on the second floor XD. The entire dev team went into the sun *gulps* and worked together to unlock the truck and bring the Moglins in. We are, as you guessed, in the early stages of a packing and shipping frenzy this week. It is a pretty big deal. This is the largest order of physical products we have ever shipped out of the lab. We were surprised at how awesome the Moglins turned out. Their colors are perfectly vibrant and they are even better than the prototypes.

Each Moglin includes a code that unlocks a matching in-game Moglin plush pet in AdventureQuest 3D. Late backers have one final chance to get them with all the Kickstarter rewards.




The quests to get the full Red Moglomancer set will not be released until the Moglomancer class goes live for all players. Currently it is in early access as promised to the Moglin Kickstarter backers. After the early access period ends, this class will become available for all players to earn along with the quests for the Twilly-themed red Moglomancer armor set. Like our previous early access classes, we expect this to be roughly a month.




Next week's major story release is the magical forest of Arcanegrove. It is home to the Tower of Magic. Unlike our previous multi-part Sagas, we are doing Arcangrove story in a single release. Hope you enjoy it.

I probably should have checked with the team before saying this, but at the center of Arcangrove's story was the original main storyline of AdventureQuest 3D: Legend of Lore. Cysero has been furiously writing the narrative for weeks now. As you may know, he wrote the original Arcangrove in our 2D MMORPG, AdventureQuest Worlds. This, is a much deeper story... figuratively and literally.
