[h2]New this week in AdventureQuest 3D[/h2]

Hop on AdventureQuest 3D and see if you got a piece of gear from our new sets in your daily treasure chest. We will be releasing Guilds in the next major release... be sure to read the post on what to expect. Also, there is a new 75+ player map for live events (and for player run PvP tournaments like the ones GoldRaven runs). Oh, and I created a few trailers... check out the links below. [h2]New 75+ Player Map[/h2]

New map for live events & player-run fun called "Hero Hangout" has been added to the Travel Crystal. We created this map after seeing Gold Raven's player-run PvP tournament. Figured you guys would like to have a big open area with some arenas in it. Also, the devs snuck a few new "toys" into this release for live events.

[h2]"Shrade's not clowning around this Friday the 13th!"[/h2]

A new Shrade has appeared every Friday the 13th... but this one is the most terrifying of all! Do you dare step foot in Camp Gonnagetcha this weekend knowing he is on the loose? (He is dropping his entire set though...)



[h2]Shrade-O the Clown[/h2]

Shrade-O is just as deadly as his previous incarnations at Camp Gonnagetcha. He has a more powerful alter ego too, named Shrade-O Extreme-O. Both of these clowns have a chance to drop items for their armor sets, but Extreme-O can also drop a Clown Face Kite pet and a Clown Stripe Kite Pet. If you aren't too scared, go find Dottie on the Battleon Bridge and she'll help you find your way to camp. I can't guarantee that you'll make it back out...




[h2]The secret story behind Shrade-O[/h2]

This is a real childhood story of one of our developers. It is about Yergen. He is the lead of the content team here at AdventureQuest 3D. When he was a little boy, there was a clown that would come to his school. The clown was named Bake-O. And yes, oh yes, Bake-O peddled bacon. For real. Everytime he said the phrase "Bacon Bits" he would honk a horn for a Pavlovian response. He performed magic tricks and told jokes. He would stop in the middle of his performance and say, "Do you know what I really like? ...Bacon bits!" At the end of his show at the school he would give every child a little vial of Bacon Bits. We are not sure what psychological effects Bake-O the Clown had on Yergen... but if you catch a wiff a little bacon scent coming from Shrade-O, then... well, you are now one of the few people with the insider story.

Can you survive a Level 31+ Lich challenge boss fight designed by Dagger? It is going to take a well geared party, grit, and a serious amount of strategy.

[h2]The Challenge: Noxus' Return[/h2]

You and your party must face off against Noxus the Lich and all of his summoned creatures, with their deadly new skills. He saved his most deadly powers for this...

Be warned. You can NOT do this alone. You'll need a full party and plenty of strategy for this one.



[h2]Level Cap Increase![/h2]

We've raised the level cap maximum to 31 for this release. The epic-quality gear you will find in this release are the most powerful items in the game. They are designed to give you a massive advantage through Darkovia and the first Pyramids of the upcoming Sandsea Desert.

Game Dev Note: Originally, the plan was to raise the level cap with Darkovia and then again with the Sandsea-- but after much debate, we decided to raise it one level now with this gear, and then we wait until the Sandsea starts where during the story it will go to 35. Every major saga thereafter will raise the cap roughly 5 levels.
Level 30+ to Enter



[h2]You Must Be Level 31 to Enter...[/h2]

Noxus won't let anyone less than worthy face him again. This is a non-scaling level 31 challenge... you must complete the story and be at least level 31 to enter the challenge. If you dare... walk up the steps in the lobby to find the door that will take you to the fight!



[h2]Challenge Fight Designed by Dagger[/h2]

"So yeah, a whole lotta high level players are gonna.. X_X"

Dagger's previous boss fights include the Tengu fight, Trollenstein's Lab, and he also designed the fight sequences for the battle concerts. When Artix asked him if he would do the Lich fight-- crazy requests for grasping hands, bone bridges, and even some game engine level requests started. The results speak for themselves. This challenge party wiped our group made of devs a half dozen times till we started figuring out the strategy for the fight. Artix will never be able to post the video of that team test because... LOL, we would have to bleep out the whole thing XD. It is intense!



[h2]Epic Lich Rewards[/h2]

If you manage to defeat the Lich Noxus, a SKULL Treasure Chest will spawn. All of the rewards have stats for 30 level players. No Scaling. You have the chance to get each piece of Noxus' High Lich armor set, weapons, and are guaranteed some Empowered Soul Stones which you can use in the Necronomicon for pieces you didn't get in the chest... after many runs of the dungeon, of course.




[h2]Tips[/h2]

• Bring Your Friends: Get a group together and play a private instance.
  
• Pre-game: Don't run into straight into the fight. Especially on mobile. Take time to strategize with your party in chat if you can.
  
• Constant Communication: If you can, use Discord or some other voice chat service to communicate with each other throughout the challenge.

Also, this Friday is a Friday the 13th... and rumors are that "Shrade-O" will appear in Camp Gonnagetcha.

[h2]"A Classy, Treasure Filled Update"[/h2]
The new AdventureQuest 3D version (1.59.0) just dropped and the Starter Classes got improvements, Treasure Chests are now stuffed with new items, and parties can join dungeons together. (An important step for our upcoming dungeon finder system)

[h2]Starter Class Improvements (and Guardian too!)[/h2]
"We've heard your feedback about adding more skill to the game's combat. To address this, we've made changes to the starting classes to give them a more defined role, and spruced up the combat engine to make every encounter a more dynamic experience for you all. " - Rabblefroth



[h2]Warrior[/h2]

• War Cry (Passive) is now a resource called Fury. Every spell grants 25 Fury, and at 100 Fury the next spell has +50% Power. Base Power of spells has been adjusted to compensate.
  
• Auto Attack is now a 3-hit combo that deals more damage on the final hit.
  
• Sever - Aggro bonus from damage increased from 0% to 75%
  
• Whirlwind - Armor Break amount increased from 15% to 30% and duration reduced from 8s to 4s
  

[h2]Mage[/h2]
Mage has been heavily updated to be more active and give choices instead of just casting whatever spell is off cooldown. It uses Channeled spells that apply damage over time but require you to stand still, making positioning and planning important. We also wanted your Mana to matter, while keeping the feel of having an infinite amount.

• Leylines (Passive) - Increases Haste by 10%
  
• Fireball - Cast repeatedly to build Fire Aspect, increasing damage. Every third cast launches a powerful exploding fireball
  
• Ice Spear - Cast repeatedly to regain Mana and build Ice Aspect, increasing Cast Speed. Every third cast launches a conjured lance of ice at your foe, Slowing and dealing Frost damage over time.
  
• Lightning Storm - Channel lightning into your target, Stunning with the initial blast.
  
• Meteor Volley - Channel to summon devastating meteors to annihilate your target and the surrounding area.
  

• [h2]Rogue[/h2]
  
• Auto Attacks - Now a 3-hit combo that applies 2 stacks of Poison on final hit.
  
• Poison Strike - Applies 3 -> 2 stacks of Poison (Rank 6: reduced from 4 to 3 stacks)
  
• Poison - Power per stack changed from 16 to 20, and duration increased from 4s to 5s
  
• Scorpion Sting - Power reduced from 90 to 80
  
• Heavy Poison - Power per stack increased from 32 to 35 (Rank 8: increased from 37 to 40), time damage is dealt over is reduced from 6s to 4s
  

[h2]GUARDIAN[/h2]

• Dragon's Breath - Aggro bonus from damage increased from 50% to 100%
  

[h2]Parties can now join dungeons together[/h2]
When party leaders join public dungeons, the rest of the party can join the same instance. This is a vital part of the upcoming dungeon finder.


[h2]Coming next....[/h2]
Expect to visit the reaper... X_X Dagger is building a level 30 fixed challenge Lich Boss Fight. It features two brand new brutal boss skills. The rewards are worthy of it... both in stats and appearance. Meanwhile, the AQ3D content team has been focusing on the Werewolf Coliseum (Darkovia Part IV). The maps are nearing completion as we are fang deep in cutscenes and NPCs. The coding team is working on phase 1 of Guilds and the Dungeon finder.

[h2]13 Floors of Tests, Trainers, and Terror-ible Humor![/h2]
Happy Mogloween! Embark on the perfect new release for your spooky weekend. Journey to the Isle of the Dead and at long last... enter the Tower of Necromancy.



[h2]The Tower of Necromancy[/h2]
Whether you are a heroic Paladin infiltrating the tower or a dark spellcaster looking to obtain its forbidden secrets... the time to enter the Tower of Necromancy is at hand. You will find it on the Isle of the Dead. Rumor has it that an unkillable Lich is the Tower's Master. How certain is this information? Not very. No hero nor necromancer that attempted to slay it has ever returned sane... or completely alive.



[h2]How to get to the Tower of Necromancy?[/h2]
Find Stygis the Ferryman in DoomWood Forest. In addition to teaching you how to become a Necromancer, he can ferry you to the Isle of the Dead. You will find the tower there. How do you get inside? That part is up to you.



[h2]13 Floors...[/h2]
Some speculate that the tower itself is some sort of dark test. That each of the 13 floors is overseen by different types of dark casters where each floor tests you to see if you are worthy to move on to the next.



[h2]Secret of the Tower[/h2]
What is the tower? Is it really the source of all Necromancy? Who is the Tower's Master? The answers to these questions lie within...



[h2]Undead Dueling[/h2]
Summoning and commanding the undead is a key skill within the tower. Perhaps some of the skills you learn within the tower will be useful again in future areas.

Your journey up the tower will be frought with peril and littered with dark new loot.

As each trainer is unique, so are their darkly themed floors. You will be delighted to see a few "lost undead" creatures make their return to our world.



[h2]Summoned Monster vs Monster[/h2]
Monsters created from summoning circles in the tower can duel. We created a new "aggro type" to make this possible. Keep an eye out for these circles in major boss fights too.



[h2]Pull the Lever?[/h2]
Each floor is a test... of your strength, sanity, and s..... *AHHHHH!*
