[h2]The Travel Crystal... has evolved into a Portal![/h2]
Travel in Lore will become much more intuitive for new players. Maybe for you too. The portal is "activated" by running into it, of course. It was surprising how many people just did not want to touch that blue crystal. But EVERYONE wants to walk into a portal. So that's what you do now.

Every couple of seconds, the image in the portal changes to one of a new location... Darkovia, Ashfall, Frostvale, Doomwood, etc.

[h2]Story, Adventures, Battle Concerts[/h2]
In this release, the portal will bring up the menu that lets you travel. We are in the middle of expanding it to let you access the main story (and show you your progress), and also access challenges, side adventures, special and holiday events including next week's Breaking Benjamin battle concert! (You may remember us talking about this in the previous post titled: new World Story and Book of Lore menu)

He's a Minstrel of Love. He has come to Battleon to inspire the heart of every hero! "Toss a DC to your wi...." Talk to him on the bridge to get the new daily quests and the 2020 Heroes Heart collection (including a new effect potion, pets, and a travel form)

[h2]Daily Quests[/h2]
If you're looking for love, or to simply make new friends, the "Spread the Love" daily quests will take you all around one of the districts of Battleon to meet some very special NPCs (Non Player Characters). You will earn 10 Lovely Hearts per quest which can be used to purchase any one of the 4 colors of robes and boots.

We are celebrating Heroes Heart day all week. But if you have "that special someone" in the real world, then heads up-- Valentines day is Friday! The official Lunar New Year is begins this Saturday, but why wait to get festive? Head to town and get items from Saber's Lunar New Year shop. There are items for gold, for Guardians, and an adorable pet mouse companion.



[h2]Lunar New Year Sets[/h2]

Props to AdventureQuest 3D's newest modeler/artist Winnie for these Lunar New Year sets! Let her know in the comments section if you love them. They are available for about 8,888 gold in town now. You will notice all of the prices contain 8's. Because 8 is a SUPER LUCKY number in Chinese. Mostly because it sounds like 發 (fa) which means wealth, prospering, and fortune. For the record, I am 100% down for any and all cultural-wide puns.

Cheongsam (For Girls)

Beautiful! A cheongsam is a sleek, close-fitting Chinese dress. This dress was probably not intended to be worn in combat against dragons and monsters...

Changshan (For Boys)

A changshan is a traditional Chinese long tunic worn by men. But if you buy the wrong one and wear it, no one will care. We're all open minded friends in this game community.


[h2]Lunar New Year Capes[/h2]

There are two versions!  A Lucky Red Dragon Cloak for 8,888 gold. There is also a Lucky Guardian cape for 1,000 gold.



[h2]Rat of the Year Pet![/h2]

In Chinese astrology, each year is represented by an animal. The Rat is the very first one on the Zodiac. It represents being kind, generous, and super diligent.

"But... it's the year of the Rat. Why is the pet a MOUSE!?"

Hah. The Chinese the word 老鼠 (Rat) can mean either Rat or Mouse. So we went with the mouse for maximum adorableness. We also made Dage the Evil make it. Because someone as dark and evil as him making something this cute is maximum comedy! 



[h2]Berserker Just Released![/h2]

Beserker is a brutal tier 2 class that everyone can earn right now. Head to the class trainers in town to get started. You will notice that you can earn classes faster now... especially if you are (or become) a Guardian.

Berserker is a Tier 2 class...

It is so brutal that you need to be a Rank 10 Warrior before you can even start the quests.

Also, Berserker is a duel-wielding class!

...and it has its own custom daily dungeon called Trials of Fury?

Are you a Guardian? Because Guardians get a bonus daily quest to earn & progress classes (including this one) even faster.

Finally... as a special reward to you for being with us... Beta Berserker will be exclusively released to you and your fellow early access players when AdventureQuest 3D goes fully live on STEAM.



[h2]Berserker Skills[/h2]

Berserkers tap into their rage for their power of death and destruction. These are the skills you'll be able to use as a Berserker.

[h3]Frenzy (Passive)[/h3]
ncrease Haste as your Health decreases. "The more you hurt, the faster you swing!"

[h3]Reckless Smash[/h3]
A bone-crunching swing of your weapon so powerful it does damage to yourself for 10% of your remaining health.

[h3]Savage Flames[/h3]
Become a spinning torrent of flames that deal 1.5x damage when you are below 50% health.

[h3]Raging Strike[/h3]
Attack with a powerful strike which focuses your fury into your weapons, strengthening you when below 50% health. Becomes Invigorate which can be cast for a brief period.

[h3]ULTIMATE! Battle Fever[/h3]
Embrace your Berserker Rage, becoming an unstoppable force on the battlefield.

[h3]CROSS SKILL! Wild Shout[/h3]
Draw from your inner strength to grant Haste to yourself and nearby allies.



[h2]A Better Way to Earn New Classes[/h2]

You can unlock classes even faster now. It used to take a month. Now, you can do it in only 7 days through the daily class quests. Choose carefully though, the trade off is you can only train one class at a time.

[h2]Are you a Guardian? Earn classes even faster.[/h2]

Like before, Guardians get a bonus daily tokens quest. Now, Guardians can exchange the tokens they earn and use it on another class. This is pretty cool. We are trying it out on Moglomancer, Pirate, and Berserker first. It feels pretty good-- and when we get feedback of it in action, we will make it work for the other classes to.



[h2]Berserker Armors![/h2]

Once you rank up Berserker, you can then start unlocking the wicked full armor set. Head to the class trainer's building in town, and talk to Rowan Varr to start your Berserker training.



[h2]Where's the Class Trainer at?![/h2]

OK, here's a shortcut. And it works for any class. Hop in game. Click on the main menu, then classes, then Berserker. Then, under the picture there is a button that says "Berserker, Unlock Class (or Get Tokens after it's unlocked)" If you click it, it will bring up a travel button which will teleport you to the Class Trainers.

[h2]Is the release on all Devices?[/h2]

Yes. The release has just gone out on Android, Apple, and Steam. Be sure to grab the latest version of the game from the app store!

[h2]Help! I cannot Accept the Daily Quest.[/h2]

Did you already do your daily quest for the day? Or are you already on a daily class quest? (if it is the second one, you can just drop the quest and pick up the berserker quest.)

[h2]Duel Wielding Graphical Glitch?[/h2]

Because of the special nature of Berserker duel wielding, if you see an instance of the weapon particles (special effects) not working properly, please submit a Bug Report to artix.com/contact or through the in-game menu.

Heads up treasure hunters! Rumors are two rare mini-boss monsters are spawning dropping equally rare loot. One is in Greenguard forest. The other has been spotted near the Pirate Town of Lolosia. The rewards they dropped seem to match the area they are found in.

Head to Greenguard where the Overgrown Stalker will spawn with pieces of the Autumnwalker set.




[h2]Lolosia[/h2]
On Lolosia Beach, fight the Salt Crystal Pebblar and collect pieces of the Salty Pirate set.

The first heroes attempting to collect these items were never heard from again. O_O Perhaps you will fare better in this treasure hunt.




[h2]Berserker Class coming soon! (VERY Soon)[/h2]
The Berserker class is nearly finished and coming your way very soon. We are going to try something new. You must be a rank 10 Warrior to start the quests to unlock it. Also, we are going to try shortening the overall time it takes you acquire this incredible tier 2 class.
