Greetings Exiles,

As one age ends, another must begin.

The Age of Sorcery has brought us a huge amount of content in less than a year - the sorcery system, building revamp, attributes overhaul, new encounters, golem shaping, new characters and stories, and the Journey System redesign. Yet still our forge hammers ring out as the content furnace burns hot.

An ancient empire has set its hungry eyes on the Exiled Lands.

The invasion is nigh.

On June 22, the Age of War begins as we unleash the first of three major free updates, each of which will be accompanied by a paid Battle Pass and new cosmetic Bazaar store items.

[h2]The Road to War[/h2]

The team is thrilled to reveal our roadmap for the new features and improvements coming in the next Age. Please keep in mind that this roadmap represents our current estimate and is by no means an exhaustive list of the upcoming content.


After working on the Age of Sorcery, something the team had wanted to do since the very beginning of Conan Exiles, it is with equal excitement that they have now shifted the theme to the strength of steel and the allure of gold.

In the Age of War, you will experience the Stygian invasion of the Exiled Lands, as they seek to fill their coffers with your treasure. In Chapter One, you will begin filling your treasure room as you hunt for valuables across the lands. For the first time, you’ll also be able to create your own clan emblem and display it on banners, shields, and more. We look forward to sharing more details about these features ahead of the launch of the first Chapter.

After Chapter 1, as you can see in the roadmap, purges and PvE Sieges will be central features in the updates to come.


[h2]Join the Beta on Steam[/h2]

Tomorrow (23 May), we open the Steam Beta for all to try. All you have to do is find the separate Conan Exiles - Public Beta Client in your Steam library and download the game. As work develops, we’ll keep introducing new content and fixes on this testing branch.

Keep a lookout for more news as we approach the release of the first Chapter of Age of War on June 22.

Over the last year we've added a huge amount of new content to the game. With all these changes, we wanted to look into what players have been getting up to lately. Apparently, a lot of it is gobbling handfuls of insects. Hey, no judgement here. They're crunchy and nutritious.

May 8th will mark the 5th anniversary of Conan Exiles and we are banding together with the community to celebrate this monumental day.

Hosted by our community managers; we'll be playing Conan Exiles, having fun quizzes, and sharing in the festive spirit by giving away in-game bundles. There may also be some surprise guest appearances, so mark your calendars and join us for a few hours of blood, glory, and tons of fun!

During the stream, we’ll also be talking about your favorite memories from the past 5 years of Conan Exiles. Perhaps about the first structure that you built while seeking shelter amidst a storm, or raiding an enemy camp with your friends, or maybe just a nice day that you spent with your clan mates. Anything that you remember fondly and would like to celebrate together, feel free to let us know.

Calling all practitioners of the arcane arts! Mystic Masterpieces is here, and we want you to show off your skills and create a masterpiece that captures the essence of golems or all things sorcery.

The prize? Your artwork will be featured in-game within decorative placeables for all to see. So, get ready to let your creativity soar and conjure up something truly magical. Don't miss out on this opportunity to showcase your talent and become a part of Hyboria’s beauty!

Submissions will be judged by a team at Funcom based on creativity and presentation. 10 winners will receive a Premium Battle Pass for the next chapter of the next Age, and of those 10, three (3) submissions will be chosen as grand prize winners to additionally be converted into in-game decorative placeables.

These placeables will be picture frames containing the winning submissions with credit to you, and as such, only 2D images of artwork will be eligible. Now, you could build a physical object for this, but only images of the object will be accepted, and should that submission win, the image will be used as the placeable. The same goes for 3D art; you will need to submit an image of your rendered model(s) or scene.

Winners' submissions will be implemented in-game as part of a future update.

Submissions must…

• ⭐Be original, human-created art; AI-generated images will not be eligible.
  
• ⭐Include some aspect of sorcery within Conan Exiles (spells, golems, etc.)
  
• ⭐Be “safe for work”, e.g. nothing lewd or inappropriate.
  
• ⭐Be in a common, easily-readable format such as .png or .jpg. Please, no .webp or other weird formats.
  
• ⭐Have common aspect ratios such as 16:9 (Landscape), 9:16 (Portrait), or 1:1 (Square).
  
• ⭐Be able to be displayed on a flat 2D surface.

Submit your art as an attachment to an email at: [email protected]. Please include a title of the piece! Once you submit, you should receive an automatic e-mail confirmation. If you don't get one, please check your spam filters!

10 total winners will receive the Premium Battle Pass for the next chapter of the next Age awarded to their account on launch.

Of the 10, three (3) grand prize winners get their artwork converted into an ingame placeable! These placeables will be available as a free recipe for all to use and appreciate!

Winners will be announced by the end of May 2023! Keep an eye on the forums and our website for the names of winners.
