• Added a temporary fix for the Stability issues introduced into the game after the 2.4.6 update.
We’ve disabled the following setting ‘dw.DisableBuildingValidation’. This has been set to 1 by default for now, as private server admins can change the setting to 0 to make enable this setting again.

Conan Exiles RPG book now available!

Greetings Exiles! Our good friends at Modiphius have made the Robert E. Howard’s Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of pen-and-paper RPG and now a Conan Exiles sourcebook is available!

This sourcebook allows you to experience some of the unique features from Conan Exiles in a tabletop RPG. It offers tons of new content, such as all-new archetypes, backgrounds, survival mechanics, crafting and building.

It is part of a rich Conan tabletop RPG universe, which includes a wide range of sourcebooks, and requires the Robert E. Howard’s Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of corebook to play.

The Conan Exiles sourcebook was first announced as a stretch goal in the very successful Kickstarter for the pen-and-paper RPG. A sourcebook for Age of Conan: Unchained is in the works and is expected to be available next year.

So now you can fight to survive, build and dominate in the Exiled lands not only in Conan Exiles, but also in a great tabletop RPG!

PC Patch 2.4.6 (24.06.2021)

Greetings, Exiles!

We’re incredibly excited to finally release patch 2.4.6. It focuses on addressing many reported issues, both recent and classics, as well as adding some really cool stuff! We’re releasing a huge QoL addition for modders that has been requested almost since day one, as well as optimizations that will help all platforms.

To top it all, we are releasing with this patch a huge new feature we can’t wait to let you try: single-player/coop map transfer feature (called in-game “Character Copy”). This is a standalone and independent version of the (still Work in Progress) server transfer feature. It comes already integrated into the game and does not rely on the online server transfer infrastructure. You can read more about this feature and how it works in this separate forum post.

Last but not least, this patch comes with all the rewards unlocked during the Free Week community event. You absolutely slayed it and unlocked a full new armor set and a mount saddle. Good job! You can read more about these rewards in our blog post.

Thank you again for your continued feedback and support! Stay safe!
Currently Known Issues
• Character copy may fail to transfer all attribute points correctly when transferring back and forth in quick succession. We’re working on ironing out this situation in 2.5.
  • When using the Russian localization, the confirmation prompt when using character copy is misleading. The correct confirmation prompt to use is “КОПИРОВАНИЕ”.
  • Fixed a server crash caused by certain RCON commands.
  • Fixed a number of other server and client crashes.
  • Fixed an issue that would prevent the game from starting in systems with Intel 10/11th Gen CPUs.
  • Fixed a rare issue where game assets could get corrupted if playing the game while downloading Siptah.
  • Optimized loading times on the game’s post-release assets.
  • Fixed a client crash that would occur when loading large mod lists.

  • Triggering first person mode is no longer possible immediately after stopping an emote.
  • Fixed an exploit regarding a loophole in dismantling an item.
  • Added new improvements to the Anti-Undermesh tool on the Siptah map. This is still not enabled on official servers as we continue work on it.
  • Added character transfer between maps in single-player and co-operative modes. See how it works in this post.
  • Added rewards for the Free Week community challenge.
  • MODDING: Added per-column data table merging rules so multiple mods can modify the same table rows. Documentation for this change is available in the Modding Discord.
  • It is now possible to place Fence Foundations on the side of a Wedge Foundation after one has been attached previously.
  • Fixed an issue where the placement brush would cause ghosting issues if fast switching between pieces.
  • Fixed an issue where buildings would randomly collapse on a server restart. Yes, really. Send your condolences in the comments for this original classic leaving us, and for the many buildings it took with it.
  • Fixed an issue where some Thrall crafting recipes would not show under certain circumstances.
  • Primeval armor set now costs star-metal to craft as intended.
  • Fixed an issue which caused all shield durability damage to be set to 0.

  • Rejoice, PC Master Race! It is now possible to play above 60fps without having your character slowly drifting out of sheer graphical power. #hidigitalfoundry
  • Fixed a number of issues where Elder Essence would not spawn correcly in many essence chests across Siptah.
  • Fixed an issue where a Giant King figurine would give the wrong figure.
  • Fixed an issue where mods with custom maps were not working as expected.

Upcoming follower limits on official servers.

Greetings, Exiles!

We are going to activate the Follower Limit on all official servers, all platforms, on June 29. First introduced in the Mounts update, this feature caps the maximum amount of allowed thralls and pets a player or clan can have active at any given time. Specifically - placeable combat thralls and pets. You can still have as many crafter thralls as you please.
Why are we doing this?
We are doing this for multiple reasons, first and foremost of which are reducing lag and increase server frame-rate, especially for consoles, on official servers

In addition to this, a limit like this will make building enormous land-claimed areas more difficult to defend, which is one of many steps we intend to take towards solving problems with sieges and PvP going forward. We want players to feel like they are in control over a war-band, not an army.
When is the limit going to be activated in official servers?
On Tuesday, June 29th 2021.
How does it work?
A player/clan will have a maximum amount of Followers available to them. This maximum amount grows depending on the amount of members in the clan. A solo player will have as a maximum of available Followers the “base limit”. If they create a clan, and a new member joins the clan, this maximum goes up by a certain amount per new member. Players will not be able to place any more thralls beyond this limit. This is what we call the “soft cap”.

On top of the soft cap, there is a cap of 100 extra followers. This is what we call the “hard cap”. Any followers above this will be considered for the elimination until the hard cap is met.

These are the values we are going to use on all official servers.
  • Base limit: 50 followers.
  • Amount added per member in a clan: 15 followers.
  • Note: A solo player is treated as a 1 person clan.

Example 1 : A clan of 5 members in an official server will have a soft cap of 125 followers: 50 from the leader’s base limit, plus 15 per player on the clan. Beyond this limit, they will not be able to place any new followers. In the eventuality that they happen to have more than 125 followers in game, the system will only start to eliminate them beyond 225 (hard cap).

Example 2: A full clan of 10 members will have a soft cap of 200 followers, and a hard cap of 300.
What happens to Followers already placed when the limit is implemented?
If a player or clan are above the allocated hard cap, the system will run a check and periodically select from their followers the ones considered the weakest, and delete them one by one until the hard cap is met. To determine a follower’s strength, we use the formula Level by their Tier. For instance, a level 6 Tier 4 thrall will have a score of 24, while a level 20 Tier 1 thrall will have a score of 20. If two followers are tied in their score, one will be selected at random.

We strongly recommend organizing any thralls you definitely want to keep before the limit is in place. Remember, you can now check in the Follower Management screen if you’re above the limit, and where each one of your applicable followers are located, and break bonds or rescue them from that screen as well.
I own or play in a private server. Does this affect me?
No. This limit is going to be activated on official servers. However, this is one of the many server settings also available for private servers and can be fully customizable or completely disabled if so desired.
