Update 0.7.9B is Live! Lots of bugs fixed! New Game Mechanics added!
*Mac Users, we are aware of the issues that arose in the last update. We are addressing them and will have a Mac Build up sometime this weekend*
Good morning everyone! I'm excited to publish the first update for our major update 0.7.9B which was released last week. I spent this week thoroughly testing and revising bug reports and suggestions and working on fixing, adding, and tweaking the game. A few big changes have been added in this update.
The first thing I want to show is the new damage visualization system.
We have increased the damage and proximity you take from fires to make it more dangerous and realistic.
Before, there was no indication that your character was being hurt or dying. Now, we have added an obvious screen effect which gets more intense the longer you are being injured. Also added, is a breathing and heartbeat sound effect as you get closer to dying.

We also tweaked the air system to have the shaker sound once you reach low air. This is still a WIP and some of you will notice that. Should you run out of air simply re spawn your character. We are currently working on adding an option to refill your Air at any of the trucks. In the mean time, air is no longer refillable just by walking outside. Think of it as a stamina/air bar. Once your firefighter is drained, respawn a fresh one. We will make this more practical in the next patch with the option to refill your bottles and stamina.
Next we added several new building fires. 3 new House fires in the Fire Academy Neighborhood and 1 new house fire in Manhattan. We are currently working on 2 new House fires in a new neighborhood you will notice was added to Montgomery county.

We also added Scene lights to the Montgomery County Engine and Flashlights to the firefighters

We fixed many problematic bugs in this patch as well. You can find the full change log below!
