BitDefender anti-virus crash update

Dear Players,

Many players have been experiencing crash issues while trying to play UNO online with Bit Defender anti-virus. We have identified the issue and are working with the Bit Defender team to fix it. This fix should be available before the end of March via an updated of BitDefender software. In the meantime, players can create an exception for UNO in the Active Threat Control by following directions at the link below. We will provide another update when the software update is available. This includes both Free and Paid versions of Bitdefender 2017.

Known issues and how to prevent them

Hello UNO players!

We are sorry hearing that some of our players have issues with playing UNO on PC. The dev. team is currently investigating and fixing the issues our players have reported to us. In the meantime, you can find more information on the most know issues below and how to prevent them.
If you have encountered any issues yourself, please let us know by reporting them to our support team:


1. Game crashes when creating or joining online match:
Please disable any anti-virus software and re-launch the game. We have found Bit Defender anti-virus causes a crash every time, please disable or if necessary, uninstall your anti-virus software if you are experiencing this crash. This issue may also be resolved by uninstalling and re-installing the game. If the issue is not resolved by these steps, please contact UNO Support at [email protected]


2. Start Match Button Disappears when player joins/3. Friends can’t connect to match/4. No Network Message when trying to get Online:
This is caused by a player not connecting with the host properly (Usually due to NAT setting). You can modify your Router settings to create an Open NAT setup. More information on how to do this is on the UNO Support site.


5. Winter Theme doesn’t appear in store or can’t be loaded in game:
The Winter Theme isn’t published correctly on Uplay, we are trying to fix this ASAP. If players are encountering this on the Steam version, please contact UNO Support at [email protected]


6. Game crashes or hangs on disconnect:
Since UNO is a P2P multiplayer design, it takes some time for a Host to transition to a new player. If this happens, it will take about 30 seconds to transition to the new host. This will appear that the game

Title Update 1: Release Notes

Added UNO Winter DLC (Theme) with new artwork, audio, and SFX.
This is a free DLC that can be downloaded through the DLC page.

Updated Match Setup page with a new UI.

Control for Start Match is changed to [X] from [A] button.

Theme Card Description pop-up can be toggled in-game by pressing [RT]

Video feed box is enlarged when video feed is active.
