Proofreading Tool manual version 2

Hello everyone, this is Troubleshooter development team.

First of all,

From the time when we released the Proofreading Tool, many Troubleshooter community members gladly provided their ideas and better translations.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of them.

Many requests to the tool has been received. We tried to apply them and many functions have been added. This is why we update the new manual.


Troubleshooter is supporting 3 languages officially and other languages are supported by unofficially.

The team also knows that some of official translation is not such a readable. We're sorry about that.

Though the team is made up with developers and no foreign language expert, we can't give up updating the translation.

This is why we built the Proofreading Tool. We wanted to provide you a more convenient way to access translation of the game.

Did you find out any typos, awkward expressions, or unreadable sentences? You can suggest better translation by using Proofreading Tool.

Every single suggested translation will be checked by development team and there will be a chance to share the idea of translation with other users.

We'll do our best to apply the translations you've made in the update as soon as we possible.

+ How to activate Proofreading Tool

Steam LIBRARY → HOME → right click Troubleshooter → Properties → Click [ SET LAUNCH OPTIONS ] on [ GENERAL ] → type [ --translation volunteer ] into the popup screen and click enter → Launch Troubleshooter

+ To deactivate Proofreading Tool, remove the [ --translation volunteer ] in the [ SET LAUNCH OPTIONS ].

[h2]Editing Dialogues[/h2]

Step 1.
Once you activate the tool, you can see [ Support Translation ] on the bottom left corner of the game screen when a dialogue is being progressed.


Step 2.
Click the [ Support Translation ], then [ Translation List ] window pops up. This is the main screen of Proofreading tool. Please check the number mark on the screenshot and descriptions below.


1.) Category tab:
- Mastery, Ability, Item, Buff: Regardless of what currently being listed on the screen, you can always edit names and descriptions of a specific mastery, ability, item and buff.
- Search Text: You can search sentences that include the words you've input.
- Recent Text: When you click the [ Support Translation ], main screen shows this as its default. This shows dialogues history.

2.) Content box:
- Shows contents of the category you've chosen on the Category tab.

3.) Page navigator:
- When the contents are too many, you can navigate them using Previous and Next buttons.

4.) Keyword search box:
- If you want to look for any text that is included to Mastery, Ability, Item, Buff, you can type a specific word here and the result will be showed if there is any.

Step 3.
If you find awkward sentences or typos in a specific sentence, click the sentence you want to edit then screen turns to the edit mode.


1.) Current Translation: The sentence you've clicked.

2.) New Translation: You can write your translation here.

3.) Note: Besides the New Translation, if you want to tell anything that is related to your new translation to the development team, you can freely leave the message here. The text here won't be included to the text in New Translation section.

4.) Translation History: Lists the confirmed translations.

5.) Other Suggestions: If anyone already suggested new translation and it is not confirmed yet, they are listed here. You can still suggest your own translation and instead of writing new one, you can click heart icon in already suggested translation list. The sentence that has higher 'heart' count will have a higher chance to be confirmed by the development team.

6.) Language: Set the language of you've input.

Once you've input new translation or click any heart icon, please don't forget to click 'Submit'.

[h2]Editing Masteries, Abilities, Items, and Buffs[/h2]

Step 1.
In the main screen, click the Mastery(or Ability or Item or Buff) tab. ( 1 in below screenshot )


Step 2.
All other steps are same as Editing Dialogues.

* Warning

You can see the Placeholder when you click some sentences. ( 2 in above screenshot )

For example, a sentence before you clicked could be showed like below.

『 Hit Chance increases by 1.5% per 1 currently applied Scholar, Hacker masteries. 』

But once you clicked, it will be showed like below in the edit mode.

『 $Stat$ increases by $Value2$ per $Value$ currently applied $Type$, $Type2$ masteries. 』

As you have already noticed, $Stat$, $Value$, $Value2$, $Type$, $Type2$ are placeholder. It is automatically replaced to the pre setup value when it is used in the game. You can move placeholder's position but if placeholder's format has broken, It won't be replaced to right value and it will be showed as error.

Of course all the suggested translations are checked by the development team and most error will be fixed. But please note that keep the placeholder's format right.

[Notice] Detection of 'False Positive' in some Anti-Virus program

Hello everyone, this is Troubleshooter development team.

As of the update at July 17th, there are cases that some anti-virus programs are detecting some files that are related to the Troubleshooter as it is malware.

As a result of our own investigation, there was an White List database update of the Bit Defender engine so that 'False Positive' has happened to those programs that have not enough usage time such as bug report program of Troubleshooter.

This change is just a progress for the Bit Defender engine to avoid the load of checking every single program so it's OK to allow bug report program of Troubleshooter in your anti-virus program.

The development team submitted the references and request Bit Defender team to register the program to their database.

Please understand that this issue was caused by outside factor so that our action is being very limited.

[Notice] Update and Maintenance Announcement



Greetings, this is the Troubleshooter development team.

We understand that many of you are undergoing a hard time due to numerous natural disasters and COVID-19. How are you all fairing?

Thanks to your help and support, the development team has been working on game development.

The financial predicament, which many people concerned about, will pose no problems until the end of the year thanks to regular and summer sales.

We are grateful for all your support. We understand that our game has many flaws. The development team will do its best to compensate for all the love and support you gave.

The following list is the first interim report of what we promised.



[h3]Additional Scenario[/h3]
We planned to update the additional scenario content, for which many of you requested and anticipated, by the end of the third quarter. However, our team is simultaneously developing existing content and additional content. The speed of development is not as fast as we expected.

This scenario will add one chapter (8 scenario missions) to the game after the ending. We are planning to release it by the end of September.

We thought of releasing the missions one by one, instead of the whole chapter at once. However, we understand that this might give new users the impression that the game is incomplete, and thus we currently have no plan to release the game in such fashion.

However, the schedule and update method can change at any moment. Feel free to suggest your thoughts; we will contemplate your requests.


[h3]Partial controller support[/h3]
We received a lot of requests regarding the controller. The development team understands its dire need. However, implementing controller demands lots of requirements such as new UI, conveniences, etc.

We have not had experience with controllers, and thus we are undergoing a lot of trials and errors.

We are going to do our best to improve your experience with the controller in our game.


[h3]Online Community[/h3]
We have set the extension in online function as a long term goal. Our primary goal is to complete making the online community. Once we stabilize the game content, we are going to develop expansive content.

Many contents are delayed due to our lack of capability. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience it caused.


[h3]Continous Feedback Reflection[/h3]
The development team is grateful for your feedback.

The members of the dev team are contemplating to reflect your feedback to satisfy all of the gamers.

However, during this process, we understand that you can be frustrated by the dev team's slow feedback and persistence. Furthermore, some of our decision could have let you down.

The inconveniences are due to our lack of capability. Hence, we are trying to find a better way to resolve and reflect your feedback.

Looking back into our days in development, we can feel that Dandylion is still nothing but a small and incapable development team.

However, to repay for your support and love, we will grow to be a better team to provide you with better game content.

Update Details:
  • Added mastery sets.
  • Added [ Simplify unit status window ].
  • Added a description about additional damages of [ ESP ] stat to its tooltip.
  • Added [ Beat Retrain ].
    - This allows beasts that satisfied the condition to set again Growth masteries except Genetics type masteries.
    - You can find this on the bottom right Beasts information UI.

  • Changed some Beast Growth masteries.
  • Cover information of the enemies has changed to be updated based on the location expected your unit move to while you are in [ Combat Preview ] mode.
  • You can close the NPC dialogue mode by right click when there the dialogue ends.
  • Mastery information in the character scout mode has been changed to show itself on the tooltip.
  • In the [ Mastery Set ], ☆ mark has been added to the mastery that the unit currently equips.
  • In the [ Mastery Set ], the search result has changed to include the sub masteries that is part of mastery set.
  • [ Yasha eggs ] has changed to not to be affected by [ Sacrifice ] mastery.
  • Some negative stats has been deleted in the [ Company Report ].
  • Changed type of [ Invisible Sword ] mastery from [ Attack ] to [ Basic ].
  • Changed level, class, masteries, and drop item of [ Oliver ], [Pink Horn], [ Caohong ], [ Hasan ] and [ Nevile ].

  • Changed the effect area of [ Spiderweb Widening ] from 8 ways to 4 ways(East, West, South and North).
  • Limited activation count of [ Golden Feather ] up to 3 times per mission.
  • Changed effect of [ Multi Processing ] to reduces action time by 2 per 2 protocols.
  • Changed effect of [ Administrator Authority ] to 'reduces buff duration by 1 when uses protocol abilities'.
  • Changed effect of [ Magic Backflow ].
    - Take damage equal to 50% of your maximum Vigor at the start of every turn
    - Decreases your Vigor Recovery by 10
  • Fixed a bug that [ The wanderer of the battlefield ] was activated abnormally.
  • Fixed a bug that [ Archwitch ] was activated abnormally.
  • Fixed a bug that [ Applicable Knowledge ] was activated abnormally.
  • Fixed a bug that options that are related to the action speed were turned off in a specific situation.
  • Fixed a bug that NPC clicking sound was included to the Effect Sound.
  • Fixed typos.
