The Houdini 18.0 production build on Steam has been updated to 18.5.462. This production build includes the release of Houdini Engine for Unreal version 2.0. Documentation for version 2.0 of the plug-in is available here: https://www.sidefx.com/docs/unreal/

You can access different Houdini Indie production builds and daily builds on Steam by following these steps:

-Right click on Houdini Indie in your Steam library
-Select Properties
-Select the Betas tab
-Choose the Houdini daily build or production build you want to use from the betas list.
(Select "None - Opt out of all beta programs" to use the most current production build)

This release introduces KineFX - a procedural character solution designed to make motion editing and retargeting easier and more flexible - interactive brush tools for Vellum cloth, wires and soft bodies, a minimal solve for fast PyroFX sims, key enhancements to Solaris such as a Snapshot Gallery, and much more.

Houdini Indie 18.5 is available today (Oct. 21st) on Steam. Steam users can update Houdini Indie from their Steam Library to use Houdini Indie 18.5 now.
