Our 1 Year Community Anniversary Update Is Now LIVE!



Greetings everyone!

The update for our 1 Year Community Anniversary is now up and running! Load up your Steam app and get busy downloading!

There's a huge content update coming together just in time for this campaign.
This update contains a lot of new technology that includes gameplay abilities, content polish and team tech unlocks. We've also added difficulty settings for Coop mode, a highly demanded feature. You can check out the changelog here

Once you've loaded up the game, take some time to admire our new main menu screen and check out all the cool new features. Our Community Tab will keep you updated on everything Eximius, and our event exclusive banner is also up for grabs, you just got to win 5 Online Games, easy!



Besides that, we're running our very first bi-weekly Screenshot Contest! You can read up on how to join in with our Rules and Regulations post. The winner will earn themselves a USD5 Steam GIft Card or equivalent to your region.



In conjunction with this event, our game will also be getting a permanent price reduction AND will go on sale, so if you've been waiting to buy this game, now is the time! Get a copy for your friends as well, the more the merrier.

Our game is now free to play for everyone until September 2nd, so everyone is invited! Come online and meet our friendly community members, participate in online matches and show us your skills on the frontline!

Eximius Anniversary Update - August 30th, 2019

Greetings Officer,

It's been 1 year since our closed beta launch on Steam. To celebrate this event, we're launching the Anniversary Update packed with lots of gameplay content and some improvements. We'll be announcing something special very soon as well so keep an eye out on our social media.

[Techtree Expansion]
- New Foundation Techtree for GSF and AXR; select 5 different foundation technologies to unlock at the beginning of the match.
- New Research Techtree for GSF and AXR; unlock advanced technologies as the game progresses through the GSF Supply Centre or AXR Mechanised Computing Unit.


[Existing Techtree Modification]
- Reduced Ironguard Drop Count from 6 to 4
- Moved EMP Strike and Repair Drone Enhancement II to researchable tech “Countermeasure Warfare”
- Renamed old version of Repair Drone Enhancement into “Repair Beam Optimisation”
- Moved old version of Mechanical Optimisation into researchable tech “Vehicle Armor Upgrade”
- Separated Iron Guard Enhancement II apart to two individual techs “Iron Guard Improved Actuators” and “Auto-repair Nanobots”
- Humanoid characters now flinch when hit by some weapons. They will be stunned for a short duration. They can also be fall off their feet if hit by explosives. Ironguards can be stunned by explosives and anti-tank weaponry.


[Stats]
- Revamped Damage Efficiency Stats Logic to Calculate based on Weapon Credits spent
- Implemented Player Online Stats System to Track and Store All Online Games Performance and Stats
- Added Player Online Stats Panel to Display Overall Stats of the Player in Online PVP and PVE


[Input Binding System]
- All new Input Binding system
- Added Functionally to Assign Primary and Game Pad Key
- Added Reset Key Bindings to Default Functionally
- Duplicated Key Bindings are no longer allowed
- Mouse Sensitivity value now has an acceptable range of [10-100] instead of 0.10 to 1
- Updated In Game UI to Reflect Key Binding Changes


[Gameplay]
- Infantry units now staggers when attacked. Infantry units will fall down if attacked by explosives
- Ironguards now staggers when attacked with explosives and anti-tank weaponry
- AXR Rook Protocol is now an activable ability.
- Orion Stun device no longer expires and will last until player dies. When more than 2 device are placed, the first one destroys.
- Exploit Vanguard's Scarab will now be destroyed when the players dies.
- PVE Games now have difficulty selection enabled in the game lobby. The average difficulty selected by all players will be used.

[Balance Changes]
- AXR Ironguard: HP reduced to 4000 (from 5000). Price reduced to 1800/400 (from 2000/500 )
- AXR Rook: HP reduced to 10000 (from 12000). Protocol usage changed
- GSF Field Support: Population usage reduced to 4 (from 6)
- GSF SIGAR Spec Ops Package firing rate is reduced but have increased critical damage and slightly increased base damage
- All weapon upgrades now cost 300 weapon credits


[AI]
- Updated Skirmish AI Commander. They will now attempt to spend all available resources to acquire units much faster. Skirmish AI is still undergoing testing so experience may vary at times.


[UI]
- Added Mission Overview Panel in Setup Lobby to Display the current Map and Game Mode
- Research and Production RTS Icons are no longer displayed when In Production/Researching State
- Added Community Tab at main menu where players can get the latest updates and news on Eximius
- Added Unit Shield Display into Commander’s HUD
- Improved clarity on locked Challenges in the selection panel


[Level]
- AI is now discouraged from jumping over hedges in Academy

[Optimisation]
- Explosion effects are better optimised
- Infantry AI no longer have slower response time when there are more infantry on the field.

[Misc.]
- Improved visual effects for some projectiles
- Removed “Enable In-Game Music” checkbox in options
- GSF Power Plants now spin faster after researching Power Plant Enhancement

[Fixes]
- Fixed AXR Structure transport glitch if killed on the way to deployment
- Fixed Objective beacon not replicating text properly
- Fixed Ironguard weapon not working when going in and out of combat rapidly
- Fixed GSF Construction flare not appearing in lower video settings
- Fixed AI Weapon showing incorrect packages
- Fixed AXR Crawler unit loading and unloading glitch.
- Fixed an uncommon issue where individual structure upgrades (such as Power Plant Enhancement) to apply wrongly to other structures
- Fixed GSF M33 Battle Tank collision box. Previously, projectiles can pass through the bottom hull.
- Fixed an issue that allows structures to receive staacked research/upgrades
- Fixed AXR Structure Transport gibs not working properly.
- Fixed an issue that caused selected Faction Challenges to be locked out unexpectedly.
- Fixed Issue with Steam Cloud syncing new input bindings
- Fixed an issue where opening a Battlesuit Interface while pressing F to interact with GSF Armory or AXR Mule can lock the player out of keyboard input.

- Fixed RTS HUD Button Shortcut Keys Initiating the Incorrect Button

Greetings Officers,

This weekend will be our 1 Year Community Anniversary! This marks a full year since our humble community of players and beta testers joined us and we're going to celebrate your continuous support with a big bang!

After much time, we now have Steam's go-ahead to open our doors with a Free Weekend! So now everyone is invited to our Anniversary event!

In addition to that our next content update is also dropping in the next few days, just in time for the occasion. More details to the event and about the update will be talked about in our next podcast which will take place very soon. :)

Screenshot Contest - Rules Regulations (HAVOC)

To celebrate the 1 Year Community Anniversary, we would like to hold a biweekly Eximius: Seize the Frontline screenshot contest! Starting on August 29th!

Please go through the Rules before participating. We look forward to the submissions, and all the best to everyone!



The theme for our very first photo contest is HAVOC.

All submitted screenshots must have some sort of HAVOC to be considered eligible.

This contest will end on September 13, at 7PM SGT

To enter the contest, simply upload your screenshot to Steam Community.

Please name your file with the SC_ Havoc prefix so that we know it's for the contest. Eg. SC_HavocInsertScreenshotTitleHere.jpg


Then just copy paste the link to your screenshot in this Discord Channel. Please refrain from adding additional comments in this channel.

Only 1 Winner will be chosen per contest.

The prize will be a Steam Digital Wallet of 5$ or of a similar equivalent depending on your region.

  • Take Screenshot from Replays (You can turn on Record Match Replay under Options>Gameplay)

Eximius: Seize the Frontline Shortlisted For Tencent GWB Game Awards.

As we head into the later part of 2019, we have some good news to share! Our game has been shortlisted as a semi-finalist for the Tencent GWB Game Awards!

Games Without Borders (GWB) is an official platform built by Tencent Institute of Games with an aim to provide support to developers around the world in the form of consultation, funding, publishing and growth. Other cooperative efforts besides the Game Awards include the Program Tutor Team and Roadshow events.

Naturally the Ammobox Studios team is elated at the good news and we're all keeping our fingers crossed that we secure ourselves an award! In particular we are eyeing the "Best Tactical Game" & "Best Multiplayer Game" award. There are a lot of other titles contesting, so we're hoping our game shines on through ti bag those awards.
