Patch 1.0.1b: Small hotfix for the voice issues discovered yesterday

We have a small fix incoming for the voice issues that came with the last patch. If you changed the voices of your created units yesterday you may have to change them once more - but if you didn't they should have the correct voices again.

We are still hoping to fix the save bug in the next patch - we're almost there and we're also looking into the additional bugs with achievements.

Remember to restart steam and verify the integrity of the game files.

A lot of you have been wondering about the future. We still have some stuff we hope to add that you can read about here but our current focus is on bug fixing and improving the game as it is now. We have been working on TABS for about 4,5 years and although we love it we will most likely take a break now that the game has hit 1.0 - after some fixes of course.

Remember to restart steam and verify the integrity of the game files in order to update.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator added multiplayer and left early access

Directing armies in battles can be such a chore—'go here,' 'kill that', 'retreat there'—when sometimes I just want to see a big daft rumble. That's Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, the game about building armies and just seeing what happens. It gets a touch silly, between the ragdoll physics and a roster of units which includes vikings, cavemen, Roman legionaries, pirates, wooly mammoths, tanks, dragons, skeletons, and angels. After a few years in early access, TABS has finally hit version 1.0, and has added multiplayer too.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is now 1.0, with multiplayer and two new factions

Surprise! Totally Accurate Battle Simulator has just gone 1.0. Yes, the game that launched into Early Access on April 1, 2019 is leaving Early Access on the most appropriate date, and the press release we've received assures us that this is not, in fact, a joke. TABS 1.0 is now available on Steam and Epic and with it, two new factions and multiplayer support.

Those two new factions are Good and Evil, which will let you pit units like 'Sacred Elephant' and 'Righteous Paladin' against forces like 'Void Cultist' and 'Death Bringer'. (I quickly ran a roughly even match between the factions in a preview build the devs provided, and Good triumphed over Evil, so maybe 2021 is gonna turn out alright after all.)

This update also introduces proper multiplayer to the game, letting you hop into local matches, or invite friends to online games. You can also seek out quick matches online with random players. Local multiplayer was already sort of available in the base game's sandbox mode, but it's now actually formalised into a proper option.
