SCUM - Hotfix 0.2.52.15829



Hello you awesome people, we have a small hotfix for you guys today fresh out of our croc pot

  • Fixed the bug where you could respawn on signs.

  • Fixed issue with not being able to destroy enemy flags.

  • Fixed an issue with the wall with the hole, where you could only put the platform on one side.

  • Fixed problems with snapping on the wall with hole element.

  • Fixed an issue where you could build walls and flags on a base tower.

  • Fixed grenades not working on base elements in SP.

  • Fixed a crash on connection to a server.

  • Fixed a bug where you could put BBQ, Snowman etc.. in a car trunk or backpack.

  • Fixed issue where flags resting on top of towers wouldn't get destroyed with the tower.


  • Increased base sand block health points.

  • Kill notification added to chat.

  • Disabled repair interacting on enemy base elements.

  • Implemented destroy interaction on base doors.

Who brought some cold ones?

Hello guys we brought for you a new basket of SCUM goodies in it. Let's gather around and see whats in!

NOTE: From today Family Sharing is for now disabled for SCUM.
We have asked Valve to turn off family sharing because multiple character exploit. Valve didn’t communicate with us when or will be this feature turned off, so we weren’t able to pass this information to the community on time.



  • We added a new base build element that gives you more room to scout around your base.

  • I have no idea why it's called like that, but I guess you can shoot at people from it.





  • A subtle way to express your emotions to your visitors. Announced or unannounced they can get a feeling what expects them!

  • But always Zimmer frei





  • We added a new group under options called "Game" we moved the concealed mode in there.

  • Also we added 2 new options to hide ingame announcements and to hide kill notifications.






  • Fixed the bug where footsteps didn't produce any sounds.

  • Fixed the bug that would cause crash when rail with attached red dot sight was moved to vehicle inventory

  • Fixed the bug where player after drinking would enter swimming animation.

  • Removed door claiming from a house that had crafting tools.

  • Fixed stamina exploit.

  • Fixed a crash when serialising base building data.

  • Snowman and BBQ can no longer be dropped around.

  • Fixed bug where you could destroy a flag through walls.

  • Fixed issue where a new flag area could overlap an existing flag area.

  • Fixed the bug where ammo in magazines wasn't synchronized for owner on login.

  • Fixed the bug where you would sometimes see the wrong base element when looking near cabin doors.




  • Optimized base data sync to minimize server - client desync.




  • Default palised walls have been increased for 1.5m.

  • Due communities feedback we reduced the weapon sway on handguns.

  • Added needle instead of sewing kit to animal skin quiver recipe.

  • Using actions when low on stamina takes more time to recover.

  • Using jump while running spends stamina without it recovering after.

  • Implemented fill interaction for base building well.

  • Reduced bounciness from grenades, smoke grenades and flash bangs on throwing.

  • Adjusted explosion damage amount to base elements.

  • Cars don't take damage in safe zones

Hey hey hey, happy Tuesday everyone, it is time to announce the winners!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! We have a new hot & fresh patch for you. That's right a Patch, not another goddamn hotfix. Time to break everything!



Also I don't know if any of you kept count but we did.
This will be our 50th patch total!!!!.

Well without further lollygagging lets get this show on a road:
  • Fixed a bug that caused connection timed out to some players.
  • Removed Weird floating white box from level.
  • Fixed the bug where hair and beard would grow in Main Menu
  • Fixed the bug where canceling washing action wouldn't keep wash progress.
  • Fixed the bug where you can cook drinks, they now only loose durability.
  • Removed check taste function on drinks.
  • Disabled dragging items when unable to execute an action.
  • Disabled dragging items onto vehicles.
  • Fixed issues when destroyed base elements would destroy wrong neighboring elements.
  • Fixed a bug where the camera would mess up when eating or drinking in first person.
  • Fixed the bug where holstered weapons would disappear .
  • Fixed the bug where items would appear in vicinity trough base doors.
  • Fixed a bug where weapon attachments could be visually duplicated
  • Fixed a bug where weapon magazines wouldn't show bullets.
  • Fixed a bug where object searching would sometimes falsely report no items found.
  • Fixed a bug where bullets would not pass through car windows.
  • Fixed connection time out bug.
  • Fixed missing bases on server restart.
  • Fixed the bug where Survival stats would calculate calories intake wrong.
  • Possible bug fix to prevent item in hands to become huge in scale.

  • Admin users can now enable god mode for their user id in config using theirUserId[GodMode]
    Note: God mode means you can build any blueprint without using materials, it does not grant invincibility.
  • Doubled the hair and facial hair growth time

  • Improved Anticheat system.
  • Reworked base element saving to allow better server restarts and avoid database corruption.
  • Base elements storage optimization in database that will influence faster load.

That's right Tights! Male or female we don't care. Everyone gets some! We have black tights, white tights, leopard tights and tactical tights.All kind of tights. Have I mentioned we added tights yet?





So we all know the famous phrase "get gud" right. The problem arises when getting gud is being obstructed by a target that already got gud. So how a bout a nice safe target that cannot move and you can build in your cozy home. We added 3 targets models so you can practice your sharpshooting whenever you want without annoyances like other human beings or bears. Those goddamn bears...





What is this? Well this is an awesome overhaul that was in the works for some time now. In this game we really tend to go towards realism and the current shooting mechanics felt a bit... off. So an overhaul was made to implement
dynamic weapon movement in first person
.

We added around 280 animations for hand/weapon movement in first person which includes:
  • Gun sway when aiming around
  • Strafe left/right
  • Gun sway in iron sight mode
  • Idle and walk in iron sights mode
  • Weapon Burst sway in iron sights mode


But we won't stop there more is in the works and waits to be implemented soon:
  • Change fire mode
  • Check fire mode
  • Jump
  • Raise weapon when close to an obstacle
  • Change looking between iron sights and optics when weapon supports both
  • Dual magazines operating (yes, duck taped magazines )


To support new dynamic weapon movement we reworked red dot and holographic sights by adding a parallax effect to it. Now they behave more realistic and follow the direction where your weapon is pointed.

We are raising the standards so we started replacing all hand-animated weapon handling animations with Motion capture animations that will be recorded with the help of Croatian army weapon specialist so expect that in the future. For now all AK47 animations have been replaced to match new standards.

SCUM - Patch Notes 0.2.49.15544 SCUM Comic #18



Is that a server wide admin announcement you see? You bet it is! Is it screenshotted with a view of Adriatic sea? Well, everyone is already there except us, so why not.

Today we have a real Quality of Life treat for you, so check out what's new in our latest update:



  • We all have to eat to survive and we all know that a static target is a dead one, so here is where our next QoL addition comes in.
    You are now able to move while eating or drinking in standing, crouching
    or prone position.


  • Except eating and not getting your head blown off in the process, hygiene is also an important part of surviving on SCUM island and that means wearing clean clothes and bandaging with clean rags is a must.
    Grab some soap, stand on a water surface and wash all the dirt away!




    • Soap now has 30 usages.
    • You need 10 usages to clean a completely dirty clothing item,
      2 usages for cleaning a dirty rag and 1 usage for a dirty rag stripe.
    • Wash option cleans an item for 10%, while Wash All cleans it
      until it's completely clean.
    • Soap needs to be selected in your inventory or you need to hold it in
      your hands.
    • Washing in salty(sea) water is disabled.
    • Remember not to go too deep into the water because you might lose
      your precious items.


  • You guys wished for the power of destroying your own window fortifications and your wishes are now granted. You can also see how much HP they have.



  • Speaking of windows, we added the infamous borderless fullscreen mode and that means you can now alt-tab peacefully.



  • You want to announce an event on your server? You want everybody to know that you'll spawn 100 puppets? Perhaps you want to send a love message to that invisible hacker?
    All of the above is now possible using one of three types of messages:

    Admin announcement message

    • Use #Announce followed by your message


    Welcoming message

    • A message shown every time someone logs in on a particular server
    • You can change it in the Basic Settings interface on G-Portal pages


    Message of the day

    • A message shown periodically
    • It is also changeable in the Basic Settings interface on G-Portal pages
    • You can change how often does the messages appear, default time is 60 minutes and minimum time is 10 minutes



  • We did an overall sound volume balancing, the game should be a bit louder in general and a lot of the sounds were tweaked accordingly.




  • Fixed the missing textures bug, the one with a grey chessboard pattern all over the map.

  • Fixed the bug where Scorpion 40# poundage was set to 35#.

  • Building anything on top of a vehicle is now disabled (it was easier than making the snowman melt).

  • Fixed the bug where you would shoot a single shot from M16 and hear 2 gunshots.

  • Disabled some more .ini exploits.

  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to drag and drop an item onto an item in inventory, and it would add the item to the item inside the item (if that makes sense) - ©Jesus (programmer)

  • Removed the floating white cube.

  • The issue with AMD GPUs and Realtime Radiosity should now be fixed. Just make sure to update to the latest drivers
