BIG UPDATE - New maps and huge optimization!



Hello everbody,
we've been silent for some time but we've been working constantly!

We are presenting 2 more environments for you to play in survival.

Map - Tharsis Street
Battle in one of the first singleplayers maps in survival mode, quite different map layout then on open desert.

Map - Hangar
Battle to gather supplies before evacuating with your dropship, with some twists.

Both maps share similar monster spawns, and some monsters will not appear like they do in desert maps.

We also provided you with extra ammunition, by adding a chance for a monster to drop a clip when killed, thus rewarding people who like to be... thorough :)

Optimization

We've made a huge optimization over entire game, we are also working on optimizing the game even further within next update, when this is done we will update our MINIMAL system requirements.

OPTIMIZATION

  • optimized pathfind (total monsters on screen increased by 50%)
  • opitimized skeletal mesh rendering (total monsters on screen increased by 50%)
  • optimized ingame UI by 80%
  • optimized skill tree selection UI by 70%
  • optimized ENTIRE game across everything!



GAMEPLAY

  • improved eggs in nest, slightly more challenging now
  • added eggs through sewers, slightly more challenging now
  • slightly improved some weapons
  • merged first three levels of singleplayer
  • killing monsters will drop clips sometimes

Update 1.02

NEW SURVIVAL MAP!
The Bunker

BALANCING

  • Salamander weapon damage was to big, reduced by 30%
  • hellfire melee reduced by 300 damage
  • flame turret damage reduced from 1000 to 500 per level
  • Terminator can equip all native skills now
  • general monster health on all difficulties increased by 10%
  • changed terminators behaviour a bit
  • assault will get max damage inside 3 seconds instead of 4


THREAT

  • higher difficlties will drasticaly increase how fast threat level increases
  • using BOMB or SCOUT when threat level is maximum will spawn additional monsters around you
  • using TAUNT will always spawn additional monsters near player



BUGS

  • weapons will level up normaly now on all levels
  • Healbot now correctly displays particle for various ranges
  • integrity display now shows numbers under 10% as well
  • integrity regeneration skill fixed, ticks every 25s
  • "keyboard + gamepad" option selectable with gamepad
  • added fade out every time level is about to end in every story mission
  • changed star icons when you finish story level

With this update we introduce Chinese and Russian translations.

Also included it this update are following tweaks and fixes:
  • Second player now has different laser color
  • Salamander does no longer show non existing clip ammo
  • Infinite reload problems on low reload times fixed
  • Players who completed the game can start over on level 4
  • Added a "revert all" button that reverts all upgrade selections made in armory for a particular mission
  • Special ammo names properly displayed when picking up the item
  • Hide gui shortcut moved to CTRL+H
  • Autoaim will now regenerate slowly over time
  • KER legs staying alive after monster has been killed issue fixed
  • SMG character buffs get applied properly
  • Special ammo stats stack properly
  • Special ammo meshes displayed properly
