Dying Light 2 update has a fix for campaign blocks

If you've run into issues progressing through Dying Light 2's campaign, help is on the way. The latest patch for the zombie-ridden open-world game adds an option to the death screen so you can respawn inside the mission area, preventing some instances of campaign progression locking.

At certain points in the Dying Light 2 story, you'll wake up in a safe room if you die during an active mission. Normally this isn't a problem, but sometimes it causes problems with the triggers that advance the mission. If you died and wound up outside the mission area, you might find yourself unable to return to the area where your objective was, and this could result in campaign progress being permanently halted.

With the latest update, Techland has added an option to the death screen that allows you to respawn inside the mission zone, rather than at a nearby shelter. This should help in those cases where it's crucial to remain in the active area until the mission has been completed.

One of the weapons you can stumble upon during your parkour adventures in Dying Light 2 might look familiar if you've played Cyberpunk 2077. If you play your cards right, you can get a pair of special knuckle dusters called the Cyberhands 2177 that look like the cyberpunk game's Mantis Blades.

To get them, you'll want to take an elevator to the top of the VNC Tower once you've completed the Broadcast story mission. Once you exit the elevator on the roof, you'll want to turn left and scale the green metal structure for a better view. You should notice two mossy skyscrapers that are smaller than the VNC Tower. Use your glider to reach the closer of the two, and then glide to the next one.

Once you reach the roof of that building, you should find a man standing next to a campfire known as 'Liquidator'. He'll mention being "here and there" before telling you that he has left something for you. You should then see a cache to your left before the mysterious NPC vanishes for good. Open them to get the Cyberhands 2177 blueprint. It's worth noting, though, that it looks like the NPC disappears if you've completed the main quest. Ensure you grab the weapon after completing the Broadcast quest to avoid missing out.

How to get the best Dying Light 2 weapons

Looking for the strongest Dying Light 2 weapons? Surviving in Villedor is no easy task, and with hordes of infected everywhere you turn, you'll quickly learn what a difference a good weapon can make in Techland's gory zombie game.

As you explore and progress through the story, you find plenty of loot scattered throughout the post-apocalyptic city, including weapons and materials. Blunt weapons, such as maces, hammers, and sticks, can knock enemies down, whereas slashing weapons like axes and machetes can slice through limbs. There are also ranged weapons that enable you to fight from a distance, though you won't find guns lying around Villedor - it's a bullet free zone. Instead, you unlock bows at a specific point in the campaign.

With the exception of specific mission rewards, you will find only random weapons in Dying Light 2. Depending on your level, they have variable stats so your weapons will get better as you level up. You can tell how good a weapon is by checking out its rarity, which ranges from common 'white' weapons through to uncommon (green), rare (blue), unique (purple), and finally artifact weapons, which are highlighted in gold. Artifact weapons have the highest durability, the most weapon mod slots, and the most stat bonuses. Here's how to find the best Dying Light 2 weapons.
