From 8 to 12 : New Officer Club Championship format

Hello Kards community!

As we draw closer to the end of the month we are also heading towards another Officer Club Championship. This time around we are shaking things up and introducing the next evolution of the Officer Club Championship (OCC).
From Top 8 to Top 12
To give more players an opportunity to prove their worth at the top of the ladder, we will be expanding the qualified players from 8 to 12! With an increase in participants we are also making a slight format change to facilitate the extra competitors.

This time around, the top 4 players are guaranteed a spot in the quarterfinals, while the remaining 8 players in ranks 5-12 will battle each other for the remaining 4 spots in the quarter finals in a series of Best out of 3 matchups.

The broadcast stays the same.. For now..

On the broadcast side, everyone will still be able to tune in to the OCC broadcast and catch all the action from the top 8 while we look for opportunities to expand the broadcast part of the OCC to show more matches in the future.

Why make the change?

Since we introduced the OCC three months ago, we have seen fierce competition at the top of the ladder and we frequently see amazing players falling outside of the top 8 group. These are players we know have what it takes to bring home the OCC. As competitive scene in KARDS grows and matures, we want to provide that opportunity to as many players as possible.

That’s it, let the battle for the top 12 commence!

The next OCC will take place on the 12th of September from 15:00 UTC and will be broadcast live on our Twitch channel www.twitch.tv/kardsccg

The K-League is back

Hello Kards enthusiasts!

A few months ago, the K-league had its first, small-scale tournament and completed it with success. Our format of the group stage, followed by double-elimination, allowed us to see what we could improve upon. And having evaluated this, it’s time for this competition to grow bold.

Starting September, the K-league makes its grand re-entrance into the competitive scene!
A weekly competition that comes to a conclusion every 3 weeks. The K-League provides opportunities for players to grow their skill in the competitive scene regardless of their current skill by providing different levels of competition, so everyone is sure to find something that suits!

The new format splits the competition into 3 divisions.
 • Gold division
 • Silver division
 • Copper division

Each division comes with its own prizes and difficulty. With gold having the best prizes and toughest opponents and copper being the entry-level division. Each season will see the top players promoted up a division, and the bottom players relegated down a division.

The tournament will be covered with regular live streams on the dedicated Twitch channel twitch.tv/Kardsleague so make sure to head on over and give it a follow.
