Game Update 7/10/2020 + Trading Cards!

Trading Cards

Trading cards are now enabled and they'll drop automatically depending on your playtime! Check out the awesome emoticons, profile backgrounds, badges and more!



Game Update 7/10/2020


Another game update today, we were dealing with some leaderboard issues. The baseline times for AI in career are based off the leaderboards as we don't have a "Stig" to set the fastest time for all 1200 leadeboard that cover each car class, weather, & stage combinations. We updated the times after launch, but it turns out there was a bug where scores were being uploaded to another leaderboard accidentally, so we've had to cull the top 30 and need to cull a lesser number today as well unfortunately.

There are some growing pains but now the game should be more stable and we can now focus on larger more fun updates with gameplay tweaks from your feedback, fixing more bugs and are working on better optimization too. All your feedback is very valuable and please tell us what you think of the new updates, we are supporting this game 100%!

Features
-reverted Ai times to pre-launch as there was an issue with incorrect leaderboard scores being uploaded

Improvements
-dakar truck & logging truck on automatic transmission downshifts at a higher rev limit
-tweaked the dakar truck & logging truck collider so the wheels don't clip in the ground on hard impacts
-Added haybales for a cuttable corner on the Sardinia san gavino monreale stage
-FPS counter show the allocated memory now

Fixes
-stage times don't upload to the wrong leadeboard if the stage gets out of sync
-fixed: double-clicking on the "continue" in the post-stage screen in Career would advance the stage index twice
-added missing rock collider on Norway Laupstad stage
-fixed uneven road on Japan freeroam
-fixed: If you repair, then restart on the stage afterwards, it resets your damage to a pre-repaired state.
-car is only dirtied when moving
-fixed Airborne achievement
-fixed: crossing the finish line while in the midst of an off-track reset would still register as finishing

Game Update

Hey Everyone!

It's been a week since launch and it's been exciting seeing everyone's reaction to the game. Thanks for all of the bug reports and feedback. This new build is live now. We do have more bugs, tweaks and features we need to get to, so there will be more updates in the future!

Features
  • added the ability to play the previous song and next song in the playlist when in the menus (currently triggered with shoulder buttons on controller, tab on keyboard).
  • updated AI times
  • AI difficulty on normal, skilled and master increased
  • norway can be played in the Group 2 rallies in career now
  • added dither to edge of grass rendering
  • vegetation cutout shader is now toggleable in advanced graphics settings


Improvements
  • resolution should (when on auto) now preserve native ratio.
  • FXAA anti-aliasing uses the alpha channel now so it'll be even faster.
  • high and Highest quality settings use FXAA instead of SMAA anti-aliasing by default
  • increased downsampling on Distance Blur
  • lowered Bloom diffusion value so it's faster
  • changed AO type to deferred from camera-space
  • renamed the counter steer factor percentages to be from 80%-280% which 100% being no change in countersteer speed
  • reduced terminal damage speed threshold by 6.66%
  • Improved Vegetation rendering


Fixes
  • sardinia 5 fences had the car cutout shader
  • photo mode saturation in Norway during Snow & Night wasn't working
  • fixed slower framerate on foggy stages
  • fixed a bug where skipping the intro to career mode text too quickly could lead to a crash
  • fixed initial auto settings not setting resolution correctly.
  • fixed bouncy haybales on Sardinia 6
  • removed achievement checking performance hit when going really fast
  • fixed incorrect livery bug
  • livery selection is now saved correctly in custom rallies
