‘Going once, going twice… sold, to the winged lady in the kimono!’ The auctioneer at the NosBazaar brings his hammer crashing down on the poor table with a loud ‘BANG!’
Next to him, the seller rubs his hands in joy. Finally, he’s freed up that slot and can list another item for sale!

But then something happens in the crowd. An excited murmur spreads from person to person like a contagious secret. Pricking up his ears, he manages to snatch a few words being whispered: ‘NosMerchant Medal’, ‘30% discount’, ‘from 17th (11:00 h CEST) to 19th June (11:00 h CEST)’.

‘Eureka!’ he cries inwardly, going over all the medal’s advantages in his mind while heading straight for the NosMall to pick up the precious item:

Hello NosPlayers!

The second quarter of the year will end soon, and so it’s time for another community update.

In the last months, we were able to complete a number of our long-awaited projects and successfully merged databases and servers on an international level for the first time as well as launching new ones (any rumours about a 30-hour maintenance are wholly unfounded).
And after 13½ years, we’ve also finally learned how to cook, thereby displacing the conventional frozen pizza from the broader food meta.

But there are obviously two very specific projects you wanted to know about!
We all know what this is really about anyway, so we’ll set aside the annual outlook for the second half and get straight down to the nitty-gritty: SP9 and balancing – when’s it happening already?!

Entwell is currently concentrating entirely on the new Specialist Card and will likely present us with a first version before the end of June. However, we want to leave ourselves enough time to make any necessary changes to ensure you’ll be satisfied not only with the cards themselves but also everything to do with them. Based on this, we’re currently planning the release of SP9 for mid to late July. Of course, we’ll be dropping a few hints for you here or there in advance – the archer, for example, will be very spear-cial.

Balancing! We informed you in our last update that we’re preparing a test server so we can upload large balancing changes without putting the live environment at risk.
This project has since encountered a number of hurdles which make it impossible for us to implement it in a way we think it makes sense. While we will continue to pursue how to implement these servers in the background, you’ll still want to see changes, of course.
And we’ll get them to you! – even if not all at once.

As we still do not want to take the risk of a single massive balancing update, we will roll out adjustments for individual specialists between content updates as often as possible.
We’ll start with the Death Reaper and Destroyer next week, followed up in the next round by the Fire Cannoneer and Tide Lords and Ladies.

Please let us know what you think about the changes. It won’t only help us in the following weeks, but also with any potential readjustments.

With these two topics out of the way, what else is planned for the rest of the year? At the moment, we’re totally focused on what we mentioned above, but here’s a little preview for you anyway!

As you can already see, we’re experimenting with a new type of event. This concerns a feature that we would like to expand to eventually provide daily, weekly and even seasonal quests and activities.

And of course we can’t leave out the new items in the form of costumes, pets, wings and more. Plus we’d like to make further adjustments to the EXP system, but we’ll talk more about that at a later date.

And finally, in case that wasn’t enough already, there miiight still be another large update hiding around the corner come the end of the year. It’s too early to clearly tell if and when or what that may be – for the moment, we can rest assured knowing there’ll be plenty more to talk about in our next, wonderful community update.
